I also took part in approximately 10 pitches and in 1 investment opportunity in which DMV invested its capital. I was able to conduct a study on German publishers and their venture capital and corporate venture capital divisions. At the end of the internship, I learnt that one does not necessarily need venture capital to be successful in the development and running of a business. Venture capital is usually characterized by high-risk business projects, which make it sensitive for investors who want to invest their capital in a particular business.

Such high-risk business projects require special attention from seasoned entrepreneurs. It also requires high-end technical management team and exceptional stability of the human resources. Due to the nature of venture capital, it is imperative that all precautions are taken to ensure the business succeeds. The issue for many companies is how they can succeed when they invest in entrepreneurial firms. Therefore, not many companies know how they can excel in business projects that present high risks.

The success of any business in venture capital requires well-seasoned entrepreneurs, a stable human resources and a well-performing management team. A detailed explanation of DuMont Venture will be given. The differences between venture capital and corporate venture capital will be enumerated. Other things to be discussed include the role of management and human resources, and entrepreneurial to the success of venture capital. The role of gender in venture capital will also be discussed among other things.
