It is for this reason that the cashier cannot explain the problem highlighted by Tim to the shift supervisor. The shift supervisor cannot solve the problem and has to report to the assistant front office manager. The changes in the organization structure of the company should be aimed at encouraging coordination, cooperation and teamwork among the employees. This will enable the employees to work together band solve the problems facing the clients within a short period of time. It is also important to note that the changes in the organizational structure will encourage the employees to interact with each other during the problem solving process.

The changes in the organizational structure should be aimed at creating a positive working environment and reduce the levels within the organization. This is considering that the employees current have to report to different levels which are not convenient to the clients. The organizational structure has to have few reporting levels which will en sure that the employees at different levels are empowered to solve problems without having to report the problem to different levels. Routine bypassing of different chain of commands is an indication that the organization is facing challenges in terms of organizational structure (Armstrong & Stephen, 12).

In an organization with poor organizational structure, the employees in most cases cannot solve problems but have to report it to the superiors despite the nature of the problems. The first step during the implementation of the changes in the organizational structure should involve arranging the personnel into a functional group. The functional group has to ensure that the employees are grouped together depending on their roles at the organization. All the employees should then be informed of the changes that are set to take place.

Preparing the employees for changes is an important step towards ensuring that they do not resist changes (Guest, 8). This is considering that
