And finally, the paper will look to analyze and evaluate the how YouTube has influenced as well as caused a change to the collaboration and the communication. In the year 2005, three IT entrepreneurs came up with the YouTube1. Google Company purchased the company later in the year 2006. The company has been under the organization of Google team. The function of YouTube is simple since it only involves uploading as well as downloading the videos through YouTube. The users connect through the use of YouTube where the videos are shared through uploads and downloads. However, many videos in YouTube are not only uploaded by individuals but also large organizations and corporations use the site to pass information such as advertisements and market their products. Research shows that four billion videos are streamed form YouTube on a daily basis. In 2010, a new designed of interacting with other web 2.0 platforms was launched to ease the interaction of the YouTube with other technologies. The connection between YouTube and other platforms is quite clear in that videos are shared form YouTube to the other social networks. For instance, videos are shared form you through the use of twitter, blogs and Facebook among others. YouTube if plugged directly into the browsers making it easy to users as they try to search and find the link of YouTube in their browsers. Viewing and searching the website from any browser is simple since it is visible from the interface and so is streaming and downloading. Clearly, YouTube is also connected with other technologies such as twitter and Facebook but in a different way form the other one. The ability of YouTube to allow people and users to upload videos has interfered with the way people collaborate and communicate. 2Before the existence of the site, the relationships as well as the interactions of people seemed impossible. There are numerous types of videos found in YouTube that have interfered with the way people collaborate and communicate. First, we evaluate one among the many videos that are popular is the video logging. The video format is uploaded together with the details of the author or the owner, such as hobbies and experiences among others. Anyone who can access internet may design their own videos and upload them to YouTube by just creating an account with the company to avoid confusions. Many are using YouTube in order attract attention and gain popularity. Musicians and celebrities are gaining fame and popularity. Musicians and artist upload their videos and gains popularity as a result, their videos and songs sell and gains. Young people are offered the opportunity to explore their talents and show the world what they are made of. Generally, applying uploading videos in YouTube is a method that most use for the purpose of self-interest and not the society. Before the invention of the platform, people used to communicate with their artist through the songs that were bought in the market. The process became outdated and the way people communicate today is totally different from the past days. Secondly, YouTube is found to greatly interfere with the news broadcasted. As a common courtesy, the news are captured and collected then passed through the studio for editing to ensure that the news broadcasted to the crowd and the citizens are not misinterpreted nor give the listeners bad impression on the topic or the situation. 3The media is trusted by the government in order to communicate to the citizens on the updates of the region or the country. The news broadcasted in manner that the citizens understands the situation and not confused. After the discovery of the YouTube web 2.0 platform, news broadcasting has been tampered with. With the help of the growing technology, people are able to use smartphones and tablets to capture videos and save them. When a situation happens at the presence of someone, the first thing that comes to their mind is sharing the event or the scene with others. Since communication has advanced from oral to distant communication, people records the video of an event and uploads it to the YouTube. Even before the media gets the information, many people, especially users of YouTube gets the news earlier. The news might be broadcasted in a way that people might get the wrong impression from the video. Evidently, the discovery of YouTube has interfered with the original way of communication and collaboration between the media and the people or the listeners. Instead of getting the information form the media, nowadays information is in the street, where communication spreads through the use YouTube. In the world of business, YouTube has dearly changed the communication strategies and the collaboration of many businesses with the crowd. In order to have a competitive market, many businesses use strategies such as marketing and selling their products to the consumers. Every organization aims to increase the profit of the business as well as attract many customers to the business. One of the most essential methods that businesses could use in order to win in market is advertisements of the products. The best advert attracts new customers to the specific company and the products. In most cases, adverts are meant to inform people on the existence of the products as well as directions of acquiring the products. The best adverts sell the company and the products of the company4. As a results, the customers or the consumers increase following the quality of adverts and the ability of the advert to convince the people. Previously, the adverts were first done in television and radio stations. After the existence of YouTube, the companies have found it easy and efficient to use YouTube in advertising their products. YouTube is much cheaper and saves a lot of time as compared to the media advertisements. Evidently, YouTube has also changed the way communication takes place in the companies between the organization and the stakeholders, consumers and customers among others. Finally, another area where communication and collaboration if affected by the emergence of YouTube is in education sectors, communication of the educators also known as the instructors to the students is normally oral5. The instructors trains the students and teaches them through demonstrations. Not until the discovery of the YouTube did the instructors and the teachers found the most efficient way of to demonstrate and teach in classes. Many of the teachers use clips form the YouTube in order to get the idea and the information. The information passed through the use of YouTube is more efficient as compared to the normal teaching and training strategies. The videos have the ability to capture the attention of the students, and maintain their concentration as a result.6 The students are interested in live things such as the visual videos rather than just being at the class and getting nothing from the teacher. Evidently, the effect of YouTube on the communication of people has extended to classroom. The class is affected once they are introduced to the YouTube method of teaching, the rest should follow the video method. The schools should introduce the use of YouTube video in the in the village. In conclusion, in is evident that web 2.0 platforms are networks that have affected the communication of people in different sectors. The essay has analyzed several types of videos that are affecting the collaboration as well as the communication of people in different situation. This paper aimed at determining how YouTube has affected and influenced the collaboration and communication.
