This assignment provide an in depth understanding about the care delivery, care management and ethical practises of nursing with the help of effective nursing practice by enhancing the individual performance and quality. Correspondingly the examples used were completely hypothetical and the names were note used to maintain the privacy and data security of the people. Domain 1: Care Delivery Nursing guidelines are introduced for protecting health of public. From the stated guidelines nurses are trained to show their accountability on their profession and use their intellectual power to improve their skills & competencies by following the job descriptions, effective communication system and area of practice. Therapeutic Relationships is the most important part of nursing activity and emphasizes in developing core guideline of nursing practice. By using their interpersonal skills, positive attitudes and behavior they communicate with the clients or patients to understand their needs. To improve this Therapeutic Relationships between the client and nurse, the nurse should handle the patients with care so that the patients could develop the level of trust and easily share the needs. Without trust the needs of the patients will not be gaining confidence to increase the level of trust (Timby, 2009). For instances nurse should give time and opportunity to their patient to explain them and provide best care solutions. This would help the nurse should take effective care about the patient’s professional intimacy by understanding their psychological, physical and spiritual elements. The nurses have the power to influence and authority to implement best health care solutions for the patients as directed by the doctors to increase the effectiveness of care. By understanding the client’s aptitude and constraint, nurses plan a comprehensive care for maintaining wellbeing of patients. The nurse should not wrongly initiate their authority or power should respect client’s therapeutic needs, value and opinions to serve them with a better health care. The nurse should use different types of communication strategies to improve relationships with the clients. The nurse should encourage the clients to perform every activity regarding effective health care and provide them with care for developing the existing position of the health needs of the patients (Timby, 2009). The nursing guidelines help the nurses to promote health and well beings of patients by understanding their individual responsibility and make effective uses of the restrains. It is the core responsibility of the nurse to protect the clients from any inconvenience associated with physical or environmental prospective as well as controlling the behavior. For instances the nurses could initiate effective healthcare solution for achieve restrain free care for their clients. By setting the guidelines of implementing successful and quality practice for nurse, the responsibility and quality services that are provided by the nurse could be increased. It supports them to improve the health of the patient by utilizing health opportunities. The strategies which prevent or reduce stress as well as disorder in the condition of patient health can support the nurse to improve ability and health of the patients (World Health Organization, 2004). The nurses should encourage the patients to know their own incapability and help them to use the opportunities that make them strong enough to act normally. For instances nurses should know the accuracy and the effectiveness of advanced equipment that is used to give better healthcare to patients and should perform always in a manner to enhance the health of the patients. The patients should be prioritized as per their health conditions and provide effective health care solution for fast improvement. By developing commendable health assistance and for the betterment of patients ensuring the health policies as well as programs has become mandatory for medical institutes. The health of the patients can be controlled and improved by effective development of the health needs of the patients and developing the overall system of care. The guidelines should be used to create a positive environment and the nurse should follow hygienic guidelines to protect the patient’s health (World Health Organization, 2004). Professional intimacy of the patients should not be ignored by the nurse as they have to understand the needs, value and physiological aspects of the patients. As per the guidelines the nurse and client relationships should not be violated as it may hamper the physical, emotional or spiritual value of the patients (Ford, 2004). The nurse should know about the culture of the patient so that as per their requirement they can serve better healthcare solutions. The cultural diversity has an effect on the Therapeutic relationships. As the each patient has individual healthcare requirement so their needs should be assessed by the nurse and proper planning should be implemented for the development of client’s health. By improving the psychotherapeutic relationship the behavior and attributes of the patients can be influenced (Ford, 2004). This could be sited that nurses should be maintaining dignity to advocated to the client’s health situation and add quality in their life. Physical needs of the patient should be treated with special care so that the physical needs could be fulfilled. The patients should not be fixed to a chair or bed where they cannot meet with their physical needs. With the help of proper medication and other mechanical instruments the physical or mental state of the patients can be improved (Ford, 2004). For example Mr. K was facing severe amount of mental stress and facing huge amount distress however he was very adverse towards disclosing his ailments. This created a blockage towards delivering a proper care as per the needs of the patient. Hence, the nurses began conversation within him about general notions and tried gaining confidence. This later helped him develop a feeling of trust and slowly helped him develop the confidence to detail about the needs. Thus, it could be stated that nurses should enhance their non-verbal skills to understand the body language of the patients and provide solutions as per their requirement. It is the duty of the nurses to monitor the health needs of the patients and deliver the requirement of health and send it to the doctors so that they can prescribe effective healthcare solution (Ford, 2004). Successful communication system and interpersonal skills of the nurses help to learn safe nursing practices and applying them for providing better health to the patients. More education and effective guidelines about competent health care helps the nurse to serve better. They should clarify the personal and professional information about the patients to provide health facilities and effective treatment so that the state of the healthcare could be developed (Royal College of Nursing, 2010). They should provide efficient prevention and control system so that the patients could be protected from infection. The most simple and important practice is to maintain hand hygiene to prevent contamination as well as spread of infections. Nurse should also be aware of all the infection prevention practices and about the measures that could be taken so that they could take necessary actions when required by nurturing skill and knowledge (Royal College of Nursing, 2010). They should know the patient’s immune system so that they can take proper action while treating the patients and should be acquainted about the effective prevention to be integrated while treating patients. The nurses should prevent the spread of infections and check the mechanism to reduce the chances of disease transmission. They can act as a team for ensuring health care system and government guidelines to implement protective equipment (Royal College of Nursing, 2010). So to reduce the chances of spreading infections nurses can reduce the risks by leaning the guidelines, taking effective actions and applying best practices. They should know the uses of the medical devices and relevant equipment safely. They also should follow the guideline to dispose the waste materials or used materials to prevent the contamination. They can act as a team of health care system and government guidelines to implement protective equipment to provide better health care to patients (Royal College of Nursing, 2010). Domain 2: Care Management To protect the health of people an effective care management should be introduced. Health care management includes medical management as well as improves the health facilities for the patients. Identification as well as prioritization of health risk is the important factors to manage the health issues. After knowing the individual needs of the patient’s best alternative health care solution should be prepared to take care of the patient’s health. By the use of effective care management a positive environment of care should be created to reduce the negative impacts of health (Confer, 1994). For successful care management the gap between the health services should be minimized. The feedback from the patients and the staff should be considered to make effective practice for the betterment of healthcare. Health care must be provided as per the individual needs of the patients. This statement could be justified from the following example of Mr. R who was diagnosed with high pressure but the treatment which was provided to him was not adequate to his needs. This led to very awkward situations and his vital statistics reflected on a deteriorating trend. Correspondingly, the same even resulted towards a fact that the treatment that was to be provided to Mr. R must be in accordance to his physical needs. Based on the feedbacks the management should take strong course of actions regarding the improvement of healthcare systems. They should be aware of the diverse measures that must be taken for the public to stay fit. The nurses should also encourage people for undergoing frequent health checking and ensure better living. Management programs should be focused towards helping people to improve the overall health systems and should design their healthcare institute so that new health equipment should be establish in an efficient manner. An effective board should be prepared to review the management process for the area of extreme risks (Confer, 1994). There should be an audit committee which scrutinizes the financial information as well as the safety requirement of the patients. They should follow the rule and regulations of health care governance committee to reduce the corporate risks. Trust Management Committee takes initiatives to ensure that the moderate risk scores must be initiated fort maintaining standard of the healthcare. This would help the other professionals to take the elegant care of the patients and enhance the ability to manage risk as per the individual scores of the patients. They should be aware of the clinical risk and avoid the risk associated with treatment such as protection from infections, choosing right mechanism for treatment among others. They should take preventive measures to avoid the accidental cases and provide effective Health and Safety measures to save the staff as well as patients from being harmed (Hawker & et. al., 2012). They should recruit their staff based on their behavior and intellectual skills so that they can adapt any kind of changes regarding their role and responsibility. They should be trained to use the advanced technology based on medical instruments for the betterment of people’s healthcare. Along with that business risks and financial risks should be analyzed to map the effectiveness of the work performance. For instances risk management strategies helps in endorse an integrated and effective process to handle clinical risks. The management should have the supportive culture to increase the effectiveness of the strategies. Moreover, the management should assure the patients and their families about the quality of the services and effective safety and healthcare system that are being undertaken by the medical institute (Hawker & et. al., 2012). The relationship between the patients and doctors should be enhanced to deliver effective inter professional health care systems. They should take care about the interest and needs of the patients. The nurses should be maintaining privacy and value of the patients by using inter professional skills and practicing the effective working guidelines. The management and the staff should respect the values and culture of the patients by taking proper actions as per their needs. Recognizing the limitations, skills and knowledge of the patients the management should act ethically and provide good services to improve the health care system. The role of the individual staff should be divided. Correspondingly, they should work as per the allotted tasks as a team to develop the positive work culture among the employees. They can apply the leadership practices so that the team effectiveness could be enhanced and create a better environment for the patients (American Association of Colleges of Nursing. 2011). By the use of practical evidence they should encourage to improve the strategies as well as enhance the interpersonal team based care along with individual enhancements. To get the effective outcome the management should communicate with other professionals and get involved in collaborative practices among them by enhancing work quality. The management should utilize the contributions of members of the health and social care team and create a strong working team so that any kind of inconvenience can be resolved in short span of time. Examining and analyzing the work performance of the staff and others should compare the overall work performances with the standard performances that would help the health unit to spread its goodwill (American Association of Colleges of Nursing. 2011). This could be observed as an example for mitigating the limitations of the organizational policies and guidelines and increase the effectiveness of implementing safety within health care systems. The management should be flexible enough to grab the external opportunities and have power to mitigate the risks associated with the same. The aims to learn inter professional working practice are to identify the key principal and elaborate inter professional skills associated with the operations. The care management system describes their role as a health professional and as part of a multi professional team member. They should be aware about the other professional’s role in increasing the best health care in a collaborative way. This system helps in creating a positive environment for the staff members to share their views and perceptions regarding health care management and try to improve their working ability as a healthcare professional (American Association of Colleges of Nursing. 2011). It provides the intellectual skills to the staff for providing best healthcare solutions to its patients and improves the interpersonal relationship with the same. This practice helps in delivering effective health care and social care that enhances technological advancement and serve for better healthcare solutions. It reduces the complexity of the problems, which arise during the clinical practice and improves the standard of care that is associated with the system. As this practice provide integrated health and social care, any kind of inconvenience can be solved immediately so that a proper system could be maintained within the effective working systems. It provides greater facility to improve the intractability of the professionals with each other (American Association of Colleges of Nursing. 2011). Domain 3: Professional and Ethical Practice Ethical and legal framework sustains the ability to take decision ethically for the clients. Quality based healthcare services are noted to be having reliable approach for providing best alternative health care solution. Ethical framework includes the value, perception and needs of the patient that should be respected by the staff of medical institutes. The issues regarding the patient’s health should be addressed with ethical decision. In the professional healthcare training the medical staff should be provided in an effective manner so that the nurses could handle critical issues in an ethical manner. The machines and equipment of the institute should be upgraded so that a proper and better health care could be provided to patients. Correspondingly, the overall management of the research should respect the ethics of the patients. By maintaining ethical standards the moral responsibility to extract the favorable outcome for the betterment of treatment must be ensured. It aims to maximize the benefits for the convenience of the patients and their family (Biggs, 2009). For instance Mr. X suffered from paralysis attack then he could not express his thought or needs. The patient responded through certain gestures which was mostly unidentifiable additionally he also became restless due to movement restrictions. Hence, the situation became difficult for the nurses. So it is the duty of the nurses or the doctors to observe the patients needs and treat them as per their requirement. By enhancing the utility of the treatments which leads to a sustainable and effective environment for the patients and makes them develop a proper and sustainable domain. Deontology provides guidance for the responsibility and ethical duties of the medical staff and makes them focused on the rule and obligation of the duties. They should take care of the patients’ inconvenience and treat them as per the stated ethical rules. Virtue Ethics provides best moral decision which includes that the virtues of the individuals are best for the patient’s health. It takes care about the social values, truth telling, honesty and kindness that could impose an impact on the patient’s health. Ethical framework includes some principals such as justify treatments for the patients, think about the moral and bioethical philosophy of the patients, beneficence treatment as well as develop related facilities for them (Biggs, 2009). Legal framework helps to improve the quality of the health care system and provide enhanced treatment for the patients. This framework assists sustainability of the existing financial system as the expenditure of the heath care systems is identified to be increasing day by day. It makes available the integrated systems to protect the health and safety programs and enhances the same for developing the overall needs of a workplace. By standardizing the duties and divided the responsibility among the staff it aims to enhance the quality of performance of the workers. Legal framework deals with the manufacturer and designer of the health equipment and materials by which they provide better health treatment for the patients. As per the legal framework the staff should be trained to handle the plant and equipment safely and create a safe working environment where all the welfare facilities should be provided for the staff as well as the patients (Biggs, 2009). The institute should endow with the best alternative facilities to avoid any kind of accidents, disasters and inconvenience in the workplace. Proper health and safety measures should be in use to protect the lives of the people. Nurses and the other staff should maintain the confidentiality and privacy for the clients as it has been observed that the health information should assist them to recover faster. They should be accountable enough to preserve secrecy of the information about the disease or health conditions of patients. The health information of the patients should be shared with the doctors and other healthcare professionals to assist patients with health care solutions. The information about the eligibility to pay health expenditures, donation of different organism, test reports and other private information about the patients should not be disclosed to other patients (Biggs, 2009). This could be cited that under various healthcare scenarios the practices worker should be trained not to encourage discrimination in the workplace. It is very important to promote equality in the workers and respect everyone’s values by respecting their culture. The institute should not discriminate amid their patients and provide best facility to improve their health and prevent the level of treat as a patient only. The rights and needs of patients should be appreciated by the management and workers. The cultures of the patients and workers may be differentiated in a workplace but by giving values to them the cultural diversity among the staff and patients could possibly be strengthened for the medical institutes. Health development and care should be enhanced for the betterment of health of the patients. They should know about the culture, eating behavior and cultural perceptions of the patient and make them happier. To increase the effectiveness of the nurses the organizations must provide empowerment to provide best alternative health practice to minimize the risks associated with the patient’s health. Anti-discriminatory practices provide consistent support to the employees and patients so that a positive relation could be created and a positive atmosphere in the work place could be ensured. By respecting the value of the patients it is very important to keep secret the patient’s health information to which it should be delivered to make available better health care for patients (Okitikpi & Aymer, 2009). If the management failed to protect the information about the patient’s health then the patient would not trust the medical institute again and the confidence level will be decrease. The employee should be encouraged to promote their culture by enhancing their work practice and individual skills. Discrimination increases the negative effects on the health and development of the patient. Gradually their self-esteem and sense of identity can be damaged and it can deteriorate their adaptability (Okitikpi & Aymer, 2009). The patients need to feel valuable as during their illness they feel isolated and their self-confidence level is decreased. Moreover, step by step changes in the behavioral approaches leads to an aggressive behavior towards the nurse, doctor as well as the family members. So by considering the needs and personal behavior growth nurses should carry out effective health care measures to improve the condition of the patients. A particular cultural standard should be created to provide best health solution across the world so that in every country the patients get treatment which is best according to their requirement without any discrimination. So these are some of the fair and anti-discriminatory practices that should be maintained by every medical staff or doctors (Okitikpi & Aymer, 2009). Domain 4: Personal and Professional Development Professional development is very important in health care system. As the employees, doctors and other staff have to provide best medical solution by understanding the health condition of the patients. For this purpose the nurses must be trained about the different components of the healthcare systems effectively. They should take educational initiatives to increase their knowledge along with improvement in their work efficiency to serve quality based service to their patients. They should be aware of the changes in the social environment as well as in the area of Science and Technology. The health care solution should be given in a disciplinary manner and be arranged in a manner that it can coordinate all the resources to provide best health care practices. The employees as well as doctors should have standard and quality education to increase the work potentials. After that they should be trained under the effective professional course to enhance their workability and knowledge about the medical practices and best treatments (Christian, 2012). They should increase their knowledge by using secondary source of information such as library and others and practice under the guidance of the seniors to get effective results. They should know about the clinical supervisions to avoid the inconvenience in the work culture and implement effective strategic plan to get the favorable outcome. For instances to initiate favorable outcome proper training should empower them to increase their accountability towards their work and ensure high quality learning and assessment of their work for developing the accuracy of and betterment towards the job. They should train how the patient’s needs and values are to be recognized and how effective health care systems works. Medical educations have been identified to be undergoing professionalism thus quality of the health services are noted to be of foremost importance (Christian, 2012). The rights and changing expectations of the patients can impede the service provided by the nurses or doctors and they should encourage increase of their self-confidence so that they would not feel isolated from others. They have to accept the external and internal challenges to take necessary actions against the nurses so that they can mitigate the risk associated with the same. It explores the new opportunities for the enhancement of the professional quality as well as ensures maintenance of personal supervisions of the workers or medical staffs. They can consult with their senior to get more tips about how the treatment could be better with the development of individual knowledge and skills and apply those in their medical practices. The general health practices focused on the benefits and wellbeing’s of the patients (A European Campaign on Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2007). Different types of initiatives such as strategies of immunization health programs, smoking termination advice, aware people about contagious disease and other programs should be encouraged to reduce the ill effects of the diseases and provide the patients with preventive measures. Management strategies which are based on the qualities such as evidence based health care evaluations of skills and others should also be encouraged to provide best health solutions. The effective practice makes the medical staff expert from their novice performances. Through the advanced practices they identify the key features of the effective health practices and utilize them for betterment of patient’s health (Christian, 2012). The nurse should get wide range of products to satisfy the customer’s needs but they needs to have enough knowledge to choose the best alternative among them which can provide relief for the patients. By knowing the values and behavior of the patients the nurse should create an effective relationship and create trust between them. This could be stated that nurse and doctors must be accountable for the decision that they have taken for the betterment of patients and take necessary actions if any kind of mistakes will occur in their medical treatment. The nurses should recommend their patients to go for the medication as for developing different kinds of incapability to be reduced and it rejuvenate the body energy to increase the immune system. To ensure safety during the treatment the nurse must care about the patient’s health condition such as maintaining B.P., Sugar level and among others to avoid any types of inconvenience. In nursing practice the staff should be working within their legal bindings and practices the different needs of legislative purposes for developing work practices. So, the nurses should incorporate the theoretical knowledge in practical life to enhance the working ability as well as increase the confidence to provide better health care solutions (Christian, 2012). After developing the professional and safe practice the staff should take proper initiatives to enhance the quality of those practices within the domain. For this they need some support from their superior and incorporate some positive attitudes within the nursing practice. They should know about all documenting about the nursing practice and scrutinized their performance with the standard performance to improve their work efficiency. To achieve an optimal and efficient outcome they should care about the preventive, supportive, therapeutic, rehabilitative and other traits of nursing practice. They should communicate with client proficiently and identify the symptom and other disorders within them and should report their seniors or doctors to provide best health solution for them. Through peer support the nurses can get energy to learn the health practices and work efficiently as health professionals. They would share their view, ideas and understand the needs by mutual empowerment (A European Campaign on Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2007). The support from peer can stabilize the mental condition and provides emotional as well as social support for the nurse. This helps them to perform better in their work area and increase effectiveness of the operations. Even with the involvement of larger groups managing health problems must be the center of attention for ensuring betterment of health and recovery process from the illness. The nurse or other medical staff should learn effectively from their teachers or faculties so that they could implement the health practices in future for the betterment of people. The teaching process is very necessary as it is the basic course for the nurses to learn about the principles that are associated with the nursing practices. Leadership in healthcare is very important in healthcare management as it helps to provide suitable, proficient and unbiased health care solutions in a sustainable way. Leaders are involved in many strategies, which in turn enhances the work quality and potential of the subordinate or nurses by motivate them and influencing them in enhancing their skills and behaviors. So the support from peer, teacher and leaders would help to increase the potential with professional development and successful nursing practices (A European Campaign on Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2007).
