Given that Easter Seals provides resources for individuals with special needs such as autism, developmental disabilities, in addition to physical and mental disabilities, it requires professionals who have the capacity to deliver therapy, educational hold up and recreational services to such individuals. Firstly, Physical therapists will help to teach the children, adults, and their families regarding mobility and how to carry out functional activities safely and soundly.  Secondly, the occupational therapists will help in teaching them how to perform adaptations which will enable the patients to be as autonomous as possible in their daily basis activities. Since nursing should be a constant and visible attendance at some of the special needs individuals,  nurses will offer leadership in terms of patient education as well as in the capitalization of individual strengths for every discipline. Thus, the Physical plus occupational therapists will rely on the nurses to educate such individuals concerning their disability and special needs condition along with reinforcing instructions they provide regarding positioning, relocations, recreation activities, and use of adaptive devices.

Furthermore, dietitians will help to educate such individuals and their families’ appropriate therapeutic diets. Dietitians will assess standard dietary patterns and then plan with the family how a normal diet can be tailored to attain their health management objectives.  On the other hand, program specialists and director of recreational services will assist  in administering the outreach plus advocacy services, in order to facilitate such individuals with autism, special needs, and other disabilities to work and play within the community.  Pediatric speech-language pathologists will provide comprehensive assessments, individualized plans, and Clinic plus home-based therapy services to assist the children to develop their language skills potential.

 Clinical supervisors will assist in coming up with directions to the agency program managers along with interventionists, so as to offer discipline-specific treatment for those with developmental delays, disability, and autism disorders.  They will assist behavior programs grounded on functional behavior analysis.  Pharmacists will teach them how drugs functions and how to use store medications, and how to steer clear of drug interactions with certain medications or food. The social worker will synchronize referrals to various other supporting agencies or resources, in addition to providing emotional support.
