When nurses are armed with a conceptualized practice, they are able to transform the medical practice. As has been outlined, theories form a set of concepts which are interrelated giving a very systematic perception of various phenomena. The phenomenon must be explanatory and predictive in its approach (Craven & Hirnle, 2007, pp.4-18). These nursing theories are made of some concepts, models, definitions, propositions and are entrenched in certain informed assumptions.
