Introduction

In any research that involves the use of human organs or cells, consent is very vital. Since people have different opinions regarding donations of the human body parts, it has not been easy for researchers to get informed consent. For instance, when conducting a study that involves the use of human embryos there has been a major disagreement. Most people do not find it acceptable, and a few of them only support some parts of the research. Obtaining reproductive materials, such as embryos have not been easy since individuals have given the reproductive materials emotional and moral significance. Confidentiality According to Pozgar (2012), confidentiality is very vital in stem cell research since it has been an ethical challenge to the researchers. The confidentiality of the individuals donating the cells needs to be respected in order to protect them from harassment and unexpected publicity. In the process of approving new therapies, the researchers have to reveal donors’ details during auditing by the “Food and Drug Administration” (FDA). Hence, it can be difficult to protect the donor’s privacy. Additionally, people’s confidential information is usually stored in computers in the research institutions. ...

Stem Cell
The study of stem cells has become common due to the ability of the stem cells to perform several functions. This is due to the fact that the stem cells have the ability to specialize into any desired cell type. This paper will discuss the benefits of stem cells in the medical industry and the disadvantages associated with using the stem cells. It will also explore my personal opinion on the issue…
Stem Cell research
After facts are viewed, an honest opinion can be formed. Viewing facts can involve going over pros and cons regarding stem cell research. What exactly are stem cells? Stem cells are known as “mother cells”, these mother cells can be classified into two different groups. The groups are separated into adult and fetal cells. The main factor that separates stem cells from other cells is their…
Research Methods in Healthcare
For Polit and Beck (2004, p. 14), two important paradigm in research are positivism and naturalism. Ontologically, the positivist paradigm asserts that reality is objective and singular while the naturalistic paradigm holds that reality is multiple and subjectively constructed by an individual (Polit and Beck 2004, p. 14). Epistemologically, the positivist paradigm considers that the researcher is…
Ethics
The common form of genetic manipulation involves the insertion of new genetic material to a place that’s not specified in the host genome. This is done by isolating and copying the genetic material of interest by using molecular cloning methods in order to come up with a DNA sequence that contain the necessary genetic elements for expression. The construct is then inserted into the host…
Ethics in Healthcare: Formulating the Dilemma amd Deciphering It
For this reason it has been elucidated that the aspect of healthcare ethics is introduced for verification and elaboration to nurse, as it is a thoughtful review which guides the nurses towards the measures to be taken while acting in the best interest of patients and their families. Health care ethics is a vital subject in the health care system as it evaluates the processes of making good…
Stem Cell
The stem cells have been used in the medical fields to rectify conditions, and its application in treating Epydermylosis Bullosa is a good example. Successful gene therapies and treatments in the management of the condition were realized in 2010 and 2013. The stem cells were also used earlier and by 2009, bone marrow transplants were used to remedy conditions. Research is also being furthered to…
Stem Cells
Stem Cells The most important characteristic of stem cells is the potential to transform into different types of cells. Besides, stem cells can perform the role of a repair system within human body. Within this scenario, Embryonic Stem Cells are generally used for regenerative medical purposes. On the other side, Adult Stem Cells are helpful for the treatment of deadly diseases generally noticed…
