The American Nurses Association (ANA). Flier for recruitment of members ANA is an organization that advances and protects theprofession of nursing. The association promotes, protect and optimize the health abilities, ensuring that the patients under care of professional nurses achieve quality management outcome. The members of the association are equally protected through advocacy of the organization by ensuring the rights of the practitioners are promoted. ANA is recruiting members for the organization who will be entitled to benefits and protection based on all the privileges enjoyed under the membership of the association.

Equally, members of the association will be bound by the terms and the policies of the organization (University, 7AD).Mission and vision of ANA.The mission is to promote the advancement of quality health care with regard to ethical practice in nursing through an observation of regulation, legislation, advocacy and policy.The vision is for provision of leadership and resources for nurses in shaping the profession of nursing and health care today and for the future.Functions of ANA.Establish the code of ethical conducts for nursesEstablishment of standards of practice, education and nursing servicesApprove a system for credentialing nursesSupport research, systematic study and evaluation in nursingProtect and promote the welfare of nursesPromote professional development of nursesConduction of affirmative action programsSupport of the constituent nurses associationsA central agency for collection, analysis and dissemination of informationPotential Advantages of membership.

Resource informationThe membership for the association is unrestricted by nature of age, creed, color, race, gender, disability, health status, sexual orientation, religion, nationality or lifestyle. However, to qualify as a member, one has to meet the following criteria:1. Must have been granted a license to practice as a registered nurse in the US, and the license is not under suspension or revocation in any state.2. Must be a resident or working in a state where ANA has an agreement for its membership.3. Must be willing to cooperate with the association in achievement of the mission and the vision.
