Executive Summary Shoes used to be defined as a foot wear that serves as protection. Understandably, though as years progressed towards modernization, this notion about shoes began to gradually change especially for the women. Truthfully, it could be observed how most women today, no matter how tall or how small they are, love to wear high heeled shoes. Apparently, women of all ages find something really interesting in having the chance to use a high heel for different reasons that are making a great impact on their personality. In this study, it is proposed that this particular matter that arouses interest among women be given clarity and understanding as to how the entirety of the idea comes into a huge impact on the personality of women around the world. Among the many possible reasons there are, women had been the primary epitome of defining beauty and grace. Likely, this is the reason why in the field of fashion industries, women work as models more than the men does. In connection with feminine fashion, high heeled shoes come into a clearer picture. Believe it or not, the first high heels were produced for men riders who find it hard to ride on their horses as their feet usually slip of the footrest. Later on though, the wearing of high heels became less popular among men and the shift of usage had been passed on to women. This shift became a global fondness among women. Why is there such an interest? This is what this study is all about. Investigating deeper on the reasons behind the fondness of women over high heels is expected to bring about a more intricate understanding on the reasons behind women’s fondness over the said kind of footwear. Studies have been released that wearing high heels all the time may cause severe back pains. Occasional use may not cause problems but as noted, the usual use of such footwear may bring about health troubles to the ones using it. The release of this trivia was never concealed to anyone even women. The question is, why then that beyond knowing this particular fact, at least 88% of the entire population of women around the world still insist on wearing high heels almost all the time? This is what this study shall be focusing on. If the health issues do not bother the women with regards their constant use of high heels to and from work as well as when simply going out for casual reasons. The posing dangers of the said kind of fashion and how it relates to the personality that women would likely want to adapt to shall be bridged towards this study so as to see the justice behind the global fondness of women over high heels. As this study roams around this particular issue in concern, it would further try to identify some of the basic effects of this craze over high heels on the part of commerce and the fashion industry and how these elements in the society benefit from the women’s perception about using high heels instead of the normal heeled ones that are released in the market. Aims It is practically aimed by the researcher of this study to tie up the different reasons behind the fondness of women over the usage of heels and how these reasoning mirrors the impartial explanation of how the attitude of women towards fashion may not be plainly vain but instead is philosophically based on their perception of personal growth and maturity. Through research procedures, it is expected by the researcher of this study that a clearer manifestation of the major causes of women being attached to high heels as they grow older shall be better presented to the readers. Objectives This study is outlined through the guideline provided by the following three major objectives of research listed as follows: To provide better understanding over the women’s fondness over high heels. To justify the women’s perception over high heels and how this affects their perception in life and success. To give ample evidence that high heels are more than just a shoe style, it is a statement of progress. Methodology (A) Literature Research Through the utilization of peer reviewed journals, internet sources on scholarly articles that relate to the topic being the primary sources of information in this study, this research shall be handled with careful attention given to authenticated sources of knowledge about the matter. Among the primary sources on this phase of the review would that be of the study of M.Ceruto entitled Women Pay Attention to Shoe Heels: Besides Causing Schizophrenia They Might Affect Your Pelvic Floor Muscle Activity!! This particular study is based upon the reality that high heels have as an impacting factor on the health of the women who are most fond of using them. Likely, this study is eyed by the researcher as a practical eye opener to the truth behind the effect of high heels on women which most people disregard when they see a new release of a high heel shoe that fits their size and fits their style. It could be observed to that in this study, a particular focus on what makes high heels so interesting to woman would be seen as a great mirror of truth behind the reality that covers the fondness of women over high heeled footwear and how this preference of women had been used by commercial advertisers and footwear manufacturers to generate real huge profit in the field of modern fashion industries. Another reading material to keep an eye on in this phase of the literature review is that of the pamphlet literature released by a footwear company through the internet at [http://www.brandtrust.com/images/BT_Heels.pdf]. This reading is a collection of explanations on the different reasons behind a woman’s real dream that spurs the fondness she has for high heeled footwear. It is directly explained through this material that high heels do not only enhance the aesthetic presentation of a woman, but also improves self confidence and psychological well being of a woman whatever her age is. More than that, this reading material provides an eye opener as to how high heels naturally create an identifying matter that gives women a sense of self presentation, a sense of maturity that is dictated through the way she moves and walks as she puts on her high heels. Besides these readings, several books and websites ought to be checked as well so as to find a better sense of understanding as to how people [particularly women] view the wearing of high heels around the world. This would give this study a bit of a cultural perspective that could make the investigation a bit deeper as related to its sense of being researched for better understanding on the part of the target readers. These summaries of readings and implications of their effective contribution towards the understanding of the topic being discussed shall better be established through the use of the methodologies that are to be adapted to so as to get an actual-based investigation on the matter in concern. The methods to be used are to be suggested and discussed in the next section of this proposal. (B) Survey and Interview A survey and interview process shall be handled to be able to gain an actual understanding of the situation and the topic in concern in an aim of seeing how high heels actually affect women from around the world. The process of survey and interview shall be done in two particular divisions. One is on actual basis and another is online. For the actual basis of interview, women ranging from the ages 16 and above shall be interviewed and asked several questions. They are to be randomly chosen by the researcher giving a chance for random answers to come forth. Meanwhile the survey analysis shall be sent to at least 15 women of random ages and random races so as to have a better view as to how they perceive wearing high heels based on their age and their cultural origin. Basically, this process shall be embraced by the researcher to set apart women who are fond of wearing high heels from those who are less interested in them. From there, the researcher shall try to identify the separating identities of the sample population asked to participate in the research and which of these characteristics are common among those who love to wear the heels. It is believed by the researcher that through this, the process of coming up with a more definitive result would be much easier to handle. Bearing the fact that the population chosen are randomly picked, the evaluation of the researcher would become less biased and more objective on the process of proving and investigating the truth behind the issue being studied. Presentations and Data Results Through charts and graphs, the collected data from the survey/interview process handled shall be presented in a more visual-friendly explanations. Diagrams are also to be used to show the relation of the different elements concerned in the matter that pre-empts the real reasons behind the fondness of women on high heels. The utilization of such presentations are aimed to better explain the thoughts and the final conclusions of the researcher about the results of the research based on the literary readings and the survey/interview process adapted to as well. Each diagram shall be further explained through enlightening paragraphs that would draw the path of understanding that the reader could consider with regards the topic being discussed within this entire study. Conclusion This section of the study further aims to imply the most effective ways of understanding the ways by which women perceive the need and the want to wear high heeled shoes. With the use of a five-point summary and an implicative presentation on the summation of the collected data within the study, the conclusion of the research shall be presented herein. An evaluation of the effectiveness of the study and the methodologies used to collect the needed data shall also be presented in this section to serve as an effective closure to the entire research context handled in the study. Closing the research with a remarkable recommendation on what women should do to balance their views on fashion, personality and health shall further make this study more than just an explanatory source of identification on how and why women are practically attached to using high heels from then until now and perhaps even in the future.
