This is a limit that is imposed by an individual and as such we were not able to read smaller quantities than a millimeter. This can be improved by using a recording/capturing device which may read smaller measures. Another way of improving the experiment would be to operate a Newton’s meter which would slightly change the experiments but would be more accurate and still meet our final goal.
A systematic error could have occurred. This is an error caused by incorrect calibration, though I believe this is not the case. We had a little problem with the equipment we were assigned to use, for example, the tripod. In conclusion as my hypotheses predicts, the results of the second method are more precise and accurate than in the first method and the as such the uncertainties were smaller. This is most likely due to:
