4th December US involvement in the Middle East a sake of international security towards them and the rest of the world. Introduction Middle East is among the best countries which produce crude oil. United States, North America, Asia, Europe and other countries import oil from Middle East. For example, United States imports 17% of oil from Middle East. The relationship that exists among countries concerning business transactions is valued a lot. Countries cannot do without depending on others for business transactions and for provision of donations that improve them economically. This paper seeks to discuss why is the US involvement in the Middle East sake of international security towards them and the rest of the world? Lead the world to democracy United States is a powerful nation in the world. It is known for its contribution to maintain world peace and order so that democracy is enhanced. Freedom and market venture without insecurity threats is a key pillar that United States embraces for all the countries. Many states are under leadership of cruel and undemocratic leaders and for the purpose of justice, freedom and democracy United States has a mandate to make sure security is provided. Leaders who are known to terrorize their own people especially when it comes to the matters of security, then United States in collaboration with United Nation has to deal with the situation. Global peace and security for the purpose of economic stability is enhanced to make sure that economic and political transformations are obtained. For the purpose of international economy and political principles, security must be provided so that the world is productive. The principle that United States embraces is to attack those who are posing danger before they attack others. The goal of United States is to make sure transformation of authoritarian states is converted to democratic states and defend those nations from attack by other hostile states. Terrorism is a global issue which has to be dealt with accordingly. The rule of law must apply to curb lawlessness and promote freedom and democracy (Cavell, 31). Based on the fact that United States is a nation that embraces democracy then it has to deal with terrorism so that peaceful coexistence will be achieved. For example, in the case of Middle East, an economy based nation, with variety of products which they export to other countries like United States. For instance, in oil sector, United States has to deal with case of insecurity like terrorism so that business transactions are not hindered. Another example is the case of Saddam Hussein who did not entertain democracy in Iraq. Lawlessness in Iraq existed and thus United States had to be in forefront to deal with terrorism and dictatorship in Iraq. The aim of United States in Iraq was to ensure democracy was enhanced through setting of constitutional reforms which would allow free and fair election without dictatorship rule. To ensure economic benefit then there is need for global security. To protect US global interest The world that individuals live today has a lot of challenges for example international terrorism, chaos in Middle East, and poverty among others. Competition in the economy has increased and since United States want to trade with competitive nations, then their interest must be safeguarded to ensure economic stability. When security issues are not addressed in length, then high possibility of economic sabotage is attained and thus the reason why United States works with other nations to make sure that world problems are solved. Global interest of United States is to maintain peace and security due to the trade relationship with Middle East and other nations. Access to raw materials is another global interest of United States and thus security while importing and exporting must be provided for efficient trade transactions (Tarbell, 41). The country also aims at curbing the use of nuclear weapons by different countries that do not want to maintain rules and regulations on the weapons which are very destructive. Terrorists get access to the nuclear weapons since when weapons are shared from one nation to the next then there is a possibility of using it by destroying resources and causing mass killing to the residents. Prosperity must be safeguarded by providing security without considering whether trade ties exist or not but it should be provided for the sake of global cooperation. International trade relationship is an interest to all nations and thus incase of security threats then there is need to deploy military aids. Economic aids on the other hand boost the nation stability and it will increase revenue, failure to maintain security measures will mean that trade link will collapse and investment will collapse leading to the failure of trade global interests (Conrad, 25). United States Military alliance has been in Western Europe, Middle East and East Asia that is based on U.S interests. Tension which has been existing in the Middle East and in Korean peninsula has been reduced when U.S was involved the war has been curbed. This has paved way for business transactions and thus leading to peaceful coexistence. Due to the U.S involvement in Middle East and in Korean peninsula, nuclear weapons, biological and chemical weapons have been reduced. Destruction of countries and possibility of war has been curbed though military stand long to maintain security (Sathaye, 31). United States ensures that it provides security internationally so that emerging powers like China will not get a chance to buildup with other nations to cause threats to other countries. Since they are custodians of human rights, United States has been able to gain market and carry business transactions with others. This has helped U.S to attain their global interest of access to the raw materials and other products which are cheap. This has lead to economic prosperity for the U.S leading to better trade investment worldwide. Build a more cooperative world Due to globalization, there is need for the nations to unite so that epidemics like AIDS, drug trafficking, terrorism and other global challenges can be dealt with through a common goal. Terrorism and violence cause refugees and internal displaced people to increase globally. This is the reason why United States works with other countries to safe guard individuals from terrorism and other challenges. U.S has been cooperating with United Nations by providing military, intelligence and other support so that security can be maintained in the Middle East and for the sake of international security. The less developed countries need assistance from developed countries so that epidemics like AIDS and terrorism among others can be solved for the purpose of ensuring that poverty levels are reduced (Watson, 51). Additionally, through the US –UN collaboration security in developing countries especially in the African region has also been closely monitored. Cooperation to solve economic sabotage, terrorism, security among others needs to be dealt with by all the countries without considering whether one country is affected or not. International criminal court should also be involved in terrorism fighting so that it will be curbed as quickly as possible. Global financial crisis is also experienced and to improve economic of Middle East and other countries, then there is need to have international efforts that may deal with the economy. It is a global interest to protect nation’s economies for the purpose of business transactions and this will only be achieved by setting regulations to protect the global economy and still fight insecurity which is a major factor that leads to economic sabotage. Protect U.S homeland United States has also experienced terrorism attacks though it has used billions of dollars to defend its territory from attacks. Iraq is one of the country which has been confronting with United States due to usage of nuclear weapons to attack United States and other countries. During the era of Saddam Hussein, U.S economy was slugging behind, jobs were lost, services in institutions like schools and hospitals deteriorated due to terrorism attacks (Agostino, 38). To solve the problem, long-term measures had to be taken for example, fighting terrorism globally so that they can be eliminated before they attack U.S. This is the reason why United States embraces first attacks other countries. If the security of United States is under threat, then they will have to join others so that they can defend their nation. Intelligence and armed military will have to protect U.S homeland by ensuring that even the neighboring states are secured from attacks. If the economy will collapse due to security issues all the countries are supposed to unite and deal with the problem. Like in the case of Middle East and other oil producing countries peace should be maintained to ensure high level of investment that results to job creation and improved economy. Conclusion Security is a major concern globally since without peace, economy will be negatively affected. Dictatorship should not be allowed but free and fair elections should be encouraged for the purpose of democracy. As a developed country, US has a significant role in bringing peace and justice in the Middle East in addition to assisting other states in the world to fight Al-Shabaab and Al Qaeda among others terror groups.
