  • Most depressed sometimes tend not to want their friends and other family members to know what they are going through. Alan involving his friends and some of the family members can play a great role in the improvement of his condition because they can offer to talk to him at his convenient time.
  • The fact that Alan is man makes him fear to express what he is going through to others who consider that the male gender is supposed to be strong mentally and emotionally.
  • There are different people who perceive depression differently compared to others, there are those who may think that the situation Alan is going through is mere (Falicov, 2015).
  • Societies are supposed to have plans on helping people who are depressed in the society rather than letting them suffer on their own.

If antidepressant drugs are prescribed for him, he should adhere to the medication for proper recovery. Also, the patient is supposed to be counselled on different occasions. Include the patient with the right group when carrying out group counselling. Encourage the patient so that he can get better soon.

To manage it, the individual needs to stick to his or her program of sleep all the time, avoid taking a lot of food before going to bed, if the client has any type of pain that tend to bother him of her, and he or she should talk to the doctors so that they can offer means of taking care of the pain. Limiting the number of naps can also play a great role in management of insomnia (Insomnia - Diagnosis and Treatment - Mayo Clinic, 2016).

Management of Diabetes type 2.

Goal.

To achieve a normal balance of glycemic range of between 70 and 100mg/Dl.

Strategies.

Activities.

Adhere to the drugs prescribed at the hospital by the physician. Participating in physical activities such as nature walk and hiking. Lastly, the individual is supposed to control his or her carbohydrate intake and avoid certain meals.
