The well-known social networking platform provided by Facebook has become much of a success. As a company it employs staff members to continue with the operations of the company. The working conditions in the company with a viewpoint of an employee of a company is discussed and explained. The issues arising in the company regarding the working conditions are highlighted and explained. The culture of the company that is to be adopted by the employees is exclaimed and realized so as to determine their affects upon working as an employee in Facebook. The daily routines are elaborated along with the issues that the employees face upon daily basis. The company’s temperament regarding the position of its employees in the company and how it treats them are explained where the culture of issues relating to the management of employees are discussed as well. Detailed analysis of the key issues highlighted in the videos is explained in the context of relevant theories and theoretical perspectives so as to determine the issues in detail and in depth. Pressure The company is constantly in operation twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week so as to provide the product to its company. Obviously the teams work in shifts and have different routines. The company works hard for the providing the users of its products with a continuing improved interface so as to attract the potential users and existing stakeholders. The pressure upon the employees is intense so as to continue with the development and research regarding the perception of the users[Mat08]. The interfaces designed are to facilitate the user in various manners where the access and easy operation along with the management of the parts of the product is aimed. The employees of the company are extremely focused upon improving the user interface technique and are continuously in discussion for the issue. The pressure of taking account of the information as quickly as it is generated and to deliver it to the relevant department is crucial. The response of the users is to be studied by the employees, which is a complete job in the company and shall be highlighted in sense where the analysis of the respond towards various parts and facilities in the product of the company can be analyzed. The product of the company is the social platform that it provides through which people interact. The users of Facebook are spread worldwide and the employees of the company are required to focus upon their interaction activities and behavior. The pressure of exclaiming the fact of user interface reliability to the user is intense where different factors are considered by the employees of the company, which is done by analyzing the behavior of the user regarding the use of the product. The continue analysis of user behavior in the product environment pressurized the employees to make the interface much user friendly and acceptable in sense of ease[Sam121]. Working Conditions Being the provider of biggest social networking platform in the world the company is considered to be a social hub for the employees, which is not quite much the fact. The working conditions in the company are such that the team of developers and engineers work in a windowless building with minimal reasons of distractions. The working conditions are not poor but are neither the best either. The company empowers the employees to interact and has provided facilities in the company but the workings are loaded. There is much less of discussions between the employees and whenever there is, it is usually done in whispering or either between the lunch times. The employees of Facebook work in kind of an isolation where every employee is busy with its own work. The employees who worked in a windowless building completely focused upon the target and continues with their respective workings worked the improvement in the interface as the company provided in the new profile page on Facebook on. The working environment in the company is not as much similar to working conditions in the other sectors and companies. The company environment is different where the buildings are designed to enhance the employee motivation in an entirely different fashion. The display of the artworks in every corner of the building creates a much casual feel around the buildings. The conditions in the company regarding the working is unusual where the employees are deem to focus upon realizing their space in the company and in the working areas. There are different facilities provided to the employees of the company including food, laundry and moving around in bicycles between the buildings. The gaming facilities are provided so as determine the needs of the employees as most of the employees enjoy gaming as part of developer and computer experts. The company tends to focus upon the needs of the employees and arrange for the facilities within the company space so as to provide a better working environment in the company. The effective utilization of space is done and adopted which came from the main core of the realization of the social network as done by the founder in his early days. Minimal Industrial Culture The culture of a company is utmost important so as to determine the norms in the company how the operations of the company shall be carrying on. The industrial culture that is required in the company so as to affirm is the continuity of the operations is not similar in Facebook. The environment in the company tends to avoid the industrial culture where the input from the employees regarding building their own space in the workplace and marking their areas by providing a specific identity that they reflect or a thought that they promote. The company appreciates worker participation in empowering the culture where the culture of the company is determined according to the employees. Unlike other industrial cultures the company tends to promote the culture where the existence of a particular employee is much appreciate by its mark, which is reflected in art or in any other form. The company tends to evolve the culture where the input from all the employees are taken and appreciated. The normal routines in the company are not much similar to the industrial culture. Employees at Facebook are promoted to have their thoughts said on the paper and posters where the better intensity of the employee perception can be ascertained. The gaming culture in the company is much supported, as most of the employees of the company are the ones who took the computers as major and enjoy gaming. The promotion on different activities such as socializing where social areas are designed within the company offices takes the culture of the company to an entirely different stage and angle. Employees in the company are used to working conditions and culture of the company but the newbies tend to take time in adopting the culture of the company[Don09]. Facebook tends to promote the similar environment as its founder has gone through in the early years being in a collage dorm. The utilization of spaces and promotion o f arts are common in the company. The company tends to deviate from the normal industrial culture so as to provide its employees a healthy environment and working conditions in the work place. The company tends to focus upon development of mind relaxations of employees so as to affirm that every employee of the company tends to perform at its best, as it is much required because the most important input from the labor in Facebook is their mindset and thoughts. Communication interface The company is in technological sector especially in electronic social platform provider. The communication techniques within the company are crucial so as to outperform its competitors by effectively utilizing the information gathered and researched by the employees of the company. Employees at Facebook interact with each other in an effective organizational manner[Jam12]. The socializing within the company does not much exist. The company promotes the sharing of thought and reviews. The communication interfaces between the employees are much restricted to work related only. The teams gather and discuss the information gathered regarding the user opinion about the company’s product and then the brainstorming is done in a particular direction. The provision of social facilities such as snack bars and provision of lunch and food tends to elevate the communication level of the employees of the company. Employees tend to interact with each other over lunch times and during meetings. The routine in the company is much tight where most of the employees tend to focus upon their prescribed tasks. The communication interface between the employees is when the employees are assigned tasks and taken input from regarding the product improvements. The teams developed discusses upon the arising issues regarding the operations and interface of the company products and detailed discussions are done where the employees share their thought regarding the prevailing issues[Sao13]. The conclusions are drawn and with mutual consents the wok focus is drawn where the employees are assigned the tasks to carry on with the operations of the company. Employee Motivation The satisfaction level in the employees is ascertained by measuring the inputs from the employees towards the product. The motivation as determined by the management of the company is according to the providing the space that an employee need by giving them social freedom such as promoting and placing their artworks so as to provide them a sense of existence in the company. The promotion of activities such as games and social places provided tend to evolve the motivation level in the employees[Run13]. The motivation of the employees is really measured by the sense of satisfaction and employee input towards the product of the company. Employee retention is one of the critical measures of the motivation level in the employees of the company. Facebook employee motivation level is measured by retention level as well. The sense o f achievement in the employees when their inputs are seriously transformed into the modifications and enhancements of the company products[Val12]. The retention rate of the employees of the company is considered to be the motivating factor whereas the sense of achievement should also be considered. The management does not discuss the credibility that is provided to the employee in form of rewards and bonuses. Though there has been rewards and the provision of a healthy and safe working environment can be considered as a motivating factor but the boost in the motivation that is considered to be from the rewards and bonuses should be accounted for too. The enhancements in employee input in considered by providing them the facilities and making them feel their existence in the company by sharing their thought to the whole company in form of posters which is really elevating. Conclusion Working in Facebook has its pros and cons. The issues elaborated in the discussions are vital for the employees of the company, which is the most important asset of the company. As the company is operational twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week the pressure upon the employees maintains so as to make them get the operations of the company run smoothly. The product of the company is always considered and priorities amongst other factors in terms of continuing development.
