What I Learned From the Course After learning the course, I got a snapshot of important economies in the global industry. The important economies include the United States, Japan, Euro Area, and Emerging Markets (Jonge, 32). From the course, I learned that the current activity indicator is 1.8% down from 2.75%. In addition, the recent economic weakness of United States owes to the adverse weather. In Japan, the weak GDP on the fourth quarter was revised down to 2.2% from 2.4% and 0.5% from 0.7%. The Euro Area continued its weakness of bank credit and broad money growth. Consequently, the Emerging Markets is focused on tightening the financial conditions. After watching the “Terms and Conditions” movie, I realized that no one bothers reading terms and conditions that are connected to the websites they visit. After watching the movie of what lies between the agreements, one might easily hurl your computer. Therefore, the movie investigates what the corporation and governments do with people’s personal information. Therefore, from the course, I learnt the dangers that hide within the contracts that people agree and never bother to read, and what people give up when they click “I accept”. Consequently, from the course I learnt that there are various messages and smaller points that show us the way organizations use their employee’s entitlement as their advantage to lure them into doing what the employers want. It should be remembered that future stock options, bonus promises, health care plans, and pension provisions are paper assets and the promises behind them can easily be broken and the papers can be regarded as worthless and the expense of employers (Jonge,28). It is purely blackmail. Subsequently, from the course, I learned the 48 laws of power; Specifically, I learned law 22 to law 28. According to the laws, I learned that companies have to transform the weakness into power by using the surrender tactic. The motive behind surrendering is saving the hide in future when one reasserts oneself. When one is temporarily weakened, the tactic is the best for raising the company up again. From the course, I learned on how to concentrate forces of a company. Organizations needs to conserve their energies and forces by concentrating them at their strong points. One gains more by locating the rich mine and mining them deeper, than flitting from shallower mine to another. I also learned how to recreate one; one should not accept responsibilities that society foists. Companies recreate oneself by forging their identity, commanding attention. The companies need to master their own image rather than letting their competitors defining them. Therefore, I learnt that there are various messages and smaller points that show us the way organizations use their employee’s entitlement as their advantage to lure them into doing what the employers want. Companies enlarge their actions through symbolic identification. Additionally, the companies need to be aware of their clients. I also learned that organizations need to play on the needs of people to create a huge market base. Clients have a huge desire to believe on something. Organizations should be the focal point of desires by providing them with a cause. Companies need to keep their words vague and emphasize over clear thinking and rationality. Organizations needs enter actions with boldness. If the organization was not sure of the course of action, they should not attempt. The hesitations and doubts will infect the execution. What I Missed, Causing Failure I did not read most articles that were expected of me. This made me have a shallow grasp of what the paper needs. Another reason for failure was unpreparedness. I failed to prepare fully for the course assignment by not exploring the courses and sources outside the major. I was academically unprepared due to the difficulty of some of the expectation like creating the portfolio account (Jonge, 64). I also failed to familiarize myself with the class materials. I did not check the list of sources and the requirement before conducting the assignments. Consequently, I used to experience problems in getting the materials for this course. I also experienced the problem of understanding the movies that were within the course descriptions. Reference Jonge, Alice.
