The behavioral patterns can be set up as per the organization’s desire. This study reveals the facts that are necessary for a good organizational behavior by considering various aspects of an organization. The main motive for this study is to analyze how EZ-Chat Inc. is performing under various aspects that are considered and determine ways for the growth of the organization. Company Overview EZ-Chat Inc. functions as a social networking website globally that serves millions of customers through its various innovative tools and techniques. The company through its wide variety of mobile and web applications makes it easy for the customers to carry out their day to day business operations. Through its mobile operated App it allows the customers to share, connect and communicate with others living far away. The customers can even share photos and videos with their friends and followers. Another important App that the company has newly launched is that of the money transaction App which allows the customer pay bills, transfers money to their close ones within a fraction of seconds. Discussion Organizational Citizen Behavior Organizational citizen behavior is considered to be a component of job performance. It deals with the fact that how well an employee connected to an organization performs, and the performance of an employee will in turn have an impact on the company’s success. Organizational behavior refers to employee commitment as the employees stand out to be a backbone of the particular organization. Researchers have stated that job satisfaction is very important for an employee. If the employees are satisfied with their job, they are bound to perform well as per the company’s protocol. EZ-Chat Inc. a social networking giant has been performing very well since the last five years as it has around ten million customers and the list is still growing. However, a recent study has indicated that often the employees of EZ-Chat Inc. wish for a job change due to too much work load. Hence, they become victims to sleeplessness and nervous disorders. Interpersonal Communication Interpersonal communication between the employees and the organization is very important for maintaining a positive work atmosphere. A friendly work atmosphere with no politics gives a lot of job satisfaction to the employees and the employees eventually perform well. Easy Chat Inc. provides a big opportunity to its customers to maintain an interpersonal relationship with their relatives, friends and close ones. Often there are conflicts among the team members regarding the strategies that are to be used for the project to work out. In order to overcome such situations the company often conducts interpersonal skill development programs for its employees. Motivational Programs Motivating an employee plays a vital role in improving employee’s performance. It creates a positive work culture and the employee finds it easier to deliver under lot of pressure. Every project comprises of a team leader and it is the team leader who motivates the team members so that the project runs successfully. EZ-Chat Inc. is a leading company that takes care of its employee’s desires and needs. It provides its employees with lot of incentives and the employees are often rewarded for their performance. It organizes official tours and picnics for its employees so that they can have some recreation. The employees of EZ-Chat Inc. are proud to be the part of this company. Motivational programs organized by EZ-Chat for its employees are quite helpful for them during stressful situations. Although these programs sometimes turn out to divert the minds of the employees. Teams and teamwork An organization undertakes various projects and all these projects are handled by different team of employees. So coordination among the employees in a team is very important for a project to run successfully. Every team comprises of a team leader who is responsible for understanding the client’s needs and accordingly plan strategies, set goals, explain the project to the team members and timely supervise the team members’ works. Teams are essential for handling the complex problems that arises within an organization and it is only the team members’ joint efforts that can overcome the challenges. Hence, it is very important for team members to work efficiently and run the business smoothly. EZ-Chat Inc. handles a lot of projects and it has got extremely proficient team leaders who are capable of handling each project efficiently. Recently, EZ-Chat Inc. has been successful in launching a new mobile App for easy transfer of money. The team leaders of EZ-Chat Inc. understands the clients requirements and tries to coordinate with the teams in order to explain them the various strategies to be used. There are cases when the team leaders find it difficult to handle situations and the problem goes to the higher authority. Decision making process The decision making process of a company plays a vital role in order to overcome the challenges that come across. Decision making is an activity that the manager of an organization performs and it is very important for the one to take a rational decision. It is this decision making process that is very important for the organization’s success. A rational decision is critically important for an organization’s long term growth prospect. In case of a project led by a particular team, it is the team leader who makes the decision regarding the strategies that are to be used so that project can overcome the upcoming rationalities. EZ-Chat Inc. has got a team of experienced professionals who are capable of making valuable decisions that has helped the organization to reach greater heights. It has proved to be one of the best social networking medium that has accumulated so many followers globally. However, there was a time when EZ-Chat Inc. had failed to launch a new gaming app that it had promised to launch by last year. The reason was mainly due to some organizational issues that have prevented them from launching the App. The organization had suffered a huge loss during that period. Leadership structure and composition Each and every project in an organization is handled by different project heads who act as leaders or team managers. A leader acts as the founding stone of a team structure and the team leader binds all the team members together. A team leader should consider the views of all its team members and simultaneously motivate them to perform well during adverse situations. A good leadership implies that the leader is respected by all the team members and the leader should maintain good relationship with the clients as well as the other team members. As far as EZ-Chat Inc. is concerned, it has got well experienced professional project managers who have been successful in handling millions of complex projects. These project managers have proved to be a valuable asset for the company’s success. They have contributed a great deal to maintain organization’s reputation. However few team leaders turn out to be extremely dominating and are often disliked by the team members. Stress Management A lot of challenges are often faced by the organizations and dealing with such challenges has led to a stressful life of the employees. Especially the corporate organizations claim that each project in those organizations has to meet the client’s demands as well as the deadlines. Running of a complex project within a short span of time makes the employees work day and night. Overtime working may often make the employees suffer from nervous disorders. A study revealed that employees are often under pressure that they would lose their job if they don’t perform well. Hence, it is the duty of the team leader to resolve the problems faced by team members. EZ-Chat Inc. has been very successful in arranging stress management programs by understanding its employees’ needs, offering them performance based incentives that encourages them to perform better. The company often takes the employees out for official lunch. On the contrary, there are issues where the employees of EZ-Chat Inc. find their life to be stressful enough which leads to frequent job cuts. Training and development It is very important for an organization to train its employees after hiring. Training becomes more crucial in case the organization hires freshers. As freshers do not have any experience regarding the professional work culture, it is the responsibility of the organization to train them and make them capable enough to deal with adverse situations. After all the newly hired employees would be responsible for company’s long-term growth. Nowadays, it is found that the companies conduct campusing in various institutions and hire fresh graduates because they believe that these young generations are very enthusiastic and can contribute a great deal to companies’ success. EZ-Chat Inc. also visits various educational institutes yearly and hires fresh pass-outs, the company completely bears the cost of training these young graduates into valuable employees. The company comprises of a team of skilled and experienced professionals who train the freshly hired employees. The freshly hired employees are trained for around six months by these professionals to make them capable of performing well. However the freshly hired employees pose certain problems to the organization as they are not familiar to the company’s work culture. Organizational Culture The work culture of an organization gives the employees a sort of job satisfaction which is very important for an employee to be a part of the company for a longer time. There should also be good relationship and coordination among the employees themselves. A positive work culture also falls under company’s ethics and it encourages the employees to perform well even under pressure. There are some companies where the employees have a dominating tendency within them which brings in an unhealthy atmosphere and a lot of controversies among the team members. These controversies may further lead to failure of the project and ultimately leading to bad reputation of the company. However, studies reveal that EZ-Chat Inc. has a good work culture and no politics. The employees have a good coordination with their team leaders which has led to successful undertaking of numerous projects and thus contributing to further growth of the company. The company although tries to maintain its work culture but there are few employees who pollute the work culture through their misdeeds. Power, politics and influence on the organization Often the employees complain of too much politics in a particular organization. It is the tendency of some employees of a particular organization to dominate over other employees because they consider themselves superior to other employees. They often try to out way the views of other employees. In such cases, it is the duty of the team leader to resolve the controversy among the team members and make every employee feel that they are also important for the organization. Whereas, EZ Chat Inc. takes care of each and every employee so that they are comfortable to work within the organization. The team leaders are skilled enough to manage the teams efficiently such that controversies among the team members do not arise and the teams perform well to maintain the company’s reputation. However there are few dominating team members who try to implement their own ideas without any respect for others’ ideas. Conclusion As the study reveals, EZ Chat Inc. is a well known social networking giant based in New York is performing well in the New York stock market. Due to its huge popularity it has got millions of customers and thousands of followers worldwide. It has kept in pace with the customers’ needs and benefits and has worked hard for the all round performance of the company. It is a recommendation to the organization that while hiring employees for EZ-Chat Inc. the recruiters should consider the behavioral skills of the candidates to be hired. The company can conduct skill development programs while training the employees. The analysis reveals that EZ-Chat Inc.’s grand success is due to its team of well trained employees. The efficient team leaders also play an important role in guiding the team members and maintaining the reputation of the company in the market. The company has made a huge profit since the last five years on successful launching of its mobile and web Apps that helps its customers to a greater extent. The Organization tries to maintain its protocol and takes care of various aspects that contribute to the development of the organization. It tries to maintain a healthy work culture and provides a platform to the employees to demonstrate their skills. Recommendation Although it is seen that EZ-Chat Inc. has turned out to be a successful social networking giant comprising of a team of professionals and making a huge profit, there are cases of project failures due to controversies arising among the employees and team leaders. It is a recommendation to the organization that while hiring employees for EZ-Chat Inc. the recruiters should consider the behavioral skills of the candidates to be hired. The company can conduct skill development programs while training the employees. Often there are dominating tendencies among few employees that ultimately pollutes the organizational work culture. Hence, it is highly recommended that the organization hire enough employees for various projects that the company undertakes so that it does not impose pressure on individuals. The team leaders should be chosen in such a way that they are efficient enough to manage the teams. Further, the organization can also hire experienced professional in order to save the cost of training the freshers. The company can hire not only the freshers but also the experienced professionals who can turn out to be good decision makers for the organization. EZ-Chat Inc. can take strict actions against the employees who try to dominate over other employees and thus spoil the work culture. Each and every employee of the organization should be treated as valuable assets and they should be highly encouraged to share their views for the development of the organization.
