Creativity: Process, Environment, and Entrepreneurs The fast paced world today is a mix of super computers and technology; time runs and fails to tick at a speed lesser than that of lightning; scientists and research workers are on the constant move to find out more and more ways of developing society, and at the same time, the emergence of new ideas and innovation in the field of business and enterprise has led to pave the way for a new kind of management with respect to entrepreneurship. Industries and firms all around the world are basing their work on what suits society and how changes made within the societal areas impact the rest of the world with respect to the people living in it. People have begun to make for others; in other words, businessmen become entrepreneurs when they search for what others need and require and in turn provide them with creative solutions to problems faced by people at large. Taking the example of a modern day creative innovation in terms of a life altering experience faced by people, one can explain certain important concepts like paradigm shifts, paradigm shifters, paradigm pioneers as well as paradigm settlers in terms of management and business. Facebook is one such entrepreneurial pursuit undertaken by entrepreneur Mark Zuckerberg. It has transformed society in terms of business and has taken over a vast number of people all over the world. The best part about this entrepreneurial venture was that Mark himself tried to create a need and demand within the targeted market areas in terms of a new service that he was willing to introduce to people at no extra costs and this appealed to most, leading to making Facebook one of the widest used websites in the world. Paradigm shift in terms of business thus can be termed as the way by which a businessman shifts his focus of thinking from one plane of thought to another. People who undergo such a thought process have been known to be called change agents in the modern world. Paradigm shift has been taking place for a very long time now. For example, in the mercantile eras around the world, a shift was viewed in terms of evolving industrial activity around the world. Entrepreneurs existed back then as well; they took society from being purely primary and agricultural to a manufacturing secondary group of work ethics. In the modern times, a paradigm shift can be seen easily in the use of technology and computers to work and carry out daily activities. The use of the internet has become one of the most widely used activities around the world as people are day by day increasingly making use of the internet to do work, to learn as well as for pleasure and leisure uses. A paradigm shift thus means the kind of transformation that takes place with respect to a business management and enterprise on either a local or a global basis, leading to a complete change within society. The internet is the best example of such a change. When taking the example of a company on either a public or private basis, one can even talk about how Apple or Microsoft has brought about an entire paradigm shift on the planet as a whole. These companies have over the years invented computers, laptops and software consisting of operating systems which have helped other companies, business and people all over the world to flourish and evolve themselves into a whole new era of doing work. Paradigm shifters on the other hand are the people that help to instigate this kind of change within society and bring about creative solutions to the problems that people have, thus making the world a better place to live in. Shifters, taking into account the companies discussed above, would be people like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. Both these remarkable men have the qualities that the best of entrepreneurs possess, or the kind of qualities that entrepreneurs mould and base themselves upon in the world today. Shifters are the people that help to bring about change; they are the actual change agents that others are on the lookout for. They possess inherent qualities like that of determination and motivation to bring about the change that people so widely desire and have the urge for. Not many have the power to influence rightly a vast number and majority of the population and convince them for the demand of a particular product or service. Thus, these shifters not only did the same, but also helped to transform society in a way that it has become a much improved and better place in the last decade itself. Because of the reasons alone as well, this shift brought about due to these companies and their technology, the environment and world around us has become a place that can look forward to better change tomorrow as well. Shifters like Gates and Jobs have given people hope to think about a better future and improved technological use in the future. Joel Barker is a known name circling the realms of management sciences around the world and it was him that introduced the concept of paradigm pioneers in the world. These pioneers basically refer to people that are trying to create networks with other people and companies with a view to strengthen the company situation in the established market. In other words, pioneers are people that are trying to further strengthen the position of the business in the global world. In terms of Microsoft and Apple, Jobs and Gates can be known to be such paradigm pioneers not to forget the strong team of employees that they each created within their respective companies. These networks helped to establish their companies and business structures all around the world in order to strengthen it and help it reach a vast array of people. Much the same way, the concept of paradigm settlers can also be understood as people that help to settle the paradigm shifts taking place within the business environment. Summary: The United States of Entrepreneurs The time period between 1996 and 2004 in America witnessed the growth and rise of a large number of entrepreneurs trying to start their own businesses and carry it forward to the rest of the world. Companies like Wal-Mart, Google and Facebook sought this time out to go global and establish themselves all around the world with the use of some creativity and innovation. In the 1970s it has been noted that America was one of the first countries in the world to catch the bug and spirit of entrepreneurship better than anyone else before and thus the government took measures in order to promote such healthy business enterprising among different people that had ideas and creative solutions for all the problems that society was facing at the time, at large. Innovation was given prior and utmost importance as more and more people tried to come up with solutions as well as exploit opportunities out of every kind of possible situation that they could. The main reason, according to this article, due to which America was able to transform itself into such a paradigm shift in terms of entrepreneurship was because the same aspect has been very inherent in its roots right from the very beginning. Children have grown up listening to stories of inventors like Edison and Franklin and this has further helped people to incubate the spirit of entrepreneurship and bring about a change in society right from the start. Most young people, right from when they enter college, have tried to set up and start up their own ventures with the hopes of going big by the time they leave their twenties. Modern day examples like Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg have given people even more hope that entrepreneurship is one aspect that is widely spread out in America too. Taking risks is a very inherent part and parcel of every entrepreneur and thus, every citizen in the country carries with himself a belief according to which he is able to take initiatives and risks and try and do his own thing except for merely following in the wake of other people. The country definitely faces a number of advantages when it comes to having established a comfort zone for entrepreneurs all around – it has a closely knit capital structure as well as an economy interested in industry and enterprise. Also, most people here believe in giving young people a chance to show their skill and talent and portray it all on a higher platform. Thus many companies and industries have link ups with universities and offer placements and jobs as well as training and development for students in the form of internships. All this further helps to strengthen the spirit of entrepreneurship among the people. As compared to America, there are other countries around the world that are trying to follow suit in order to try and establish their entrepreneurial and innovation skills world over. Countries like Japan, China and India are really trying to up their skills in establishing the spirit of entrepreneurship in their countries by placing emphasis on the same with the help of the government and putting more on private sector enterprises. ("The United States of Entrepreneurs America Still Leads the World.") Entrepreneurs that create their approach to creative enterprises: Career Outline Society today has evolved from a vast scenario in the past; demand and supply are one of the main tools of the economy on the basis of which people survive and up their happiness factors. In order to reach a level of satisfaction, people require the use of certain products and services that make their lives easier and help them live with ease, and thus, this is where the role of an entrepreneur steps in. Entrepreneurs are change agents in society that help to come up with creative and innovative solutions in order to combat and counter the problems faced by society at large. However, many a times, entrepreneurs do not simply look out for the kind of problems that people are undergoing because in that case, they would have to wait for a long time at stretches in order to unearth and discover the kind of solutions people need. Therefore, a true entrepreneur helps to create a demand within society for a particular product or service; this means that an entrepreneur introduces within society something that would be of use to people in the long run and helps them understand the need for the particular product or service in a way that it should be used by most people. Thus, this is what is meant by creating an approach towards a creative enterprise. An entrepreneur does not have to necessarily follow the needs and demands of people; he also has the power to create demands for people to follow on to. Such a career outline thus is something that is heavily sought after in today’s world; not everyone can become an entrepreneur because he must possess certain qualities as well in order to be able to live such a lifestyle, always on the lookout for what to create for the people and society. Creating and giving way to a creative enterprise is not an easy job because it must also contain other information like the target market and potential customers that the entrepreneur is willing to target and sell to. He must also look on at the complete structure of the marketing mix and at the same time be able to follow up on the product or service so as to not lose out on his loyal customer base. A creative approach contains a lot of enthusiasm and zeal at the start by the entrepreneur and this must not be lost in the process of his going ahead with the venture or project. He must maintain a consistency when it comes to the same in order to have his enterprise flourish and succeed in the long run.
