The paper "Company’s Competitive Position in Its Various Markets" is a perfect example of a case study on business. It is important to highlight that this paper delves into the discussion of Adidas. This is a multinational corporation that deals with the production of sports items such as shoes, clothing, and accessories. It is a German company and has its headquarter in Herzogenaurach in Batavia. In Europe, it is known to be the largest producer of sportswear and holds the position two in the entire world. The company is as well the holding company for the Adidas group including the Reebok sportswear company. Others are an Australian fitness company called Runtastic, Taylor-Made Adidas Golf Company, and the FC Bayern Munich. The company was founded in 1942 by founder Adolf Dassler. The company is the second-largest in the global market, it, therefore, serves the entire world. The company is quite enthusiastic and zealous about sports and therefore has sports personalities as the targeted group to sell the products to (Smit, 2008, page 23).

The company has strategically positioned itself in the global market through the passion that it has for sports. In its market segmentation, it is important to highlight that the company performed demographic and physiographic segmentation. The market that it targets is therefore young men and women who are also passionate about sports. The two-way sports passion in the company and the market segment has therefore been the core reason for the success of this company. The company offer and manufactures what it loves doing and producing and the consumers similarly purchase what they feel is ideal for the activities that they involve themselves. Adidas products are of high quality and this is one of the core reasons that the company has gained customer loyalty. The company has the desire to be the global leader in sportswear instead of Nike. This is the goal that the company intends to achieve and this requires a lot of input from the company (Kotler and Armstrong, 2010, page 43).
