Resources form the most fundamental premise for any business idea. Before any firm initiates its plan therefore it must put in place a good resource base to help proper management sail through market uncertainties. Apple Inc. prides itself on a wide base of resources in terms of knowledge, entrepreneurship, finances, and people. To date, Apple as a company has had the best selection of CEOs and employees to run its operation.

The most outstanding was Steve Jobs who had a celebrated reputation for being the creative head of the company. Apart from good generic strategies and core competence a company strong resource base in terms of people, knowledge, entrepreneurship, and financial prowess. A firm’s success in employing its generic strategy and core competencies depends on a good knowledge of the market and the ability of its management to read the situation. Good decision-making accompanied by the viability of financial resources will ensure better implementation of a firm’s generic strategy and core competencies.

Apple’s core competence as underlined earlier comprise its outstanding leadership, hardware, culture, and the most population innovative image. The leadership of a firm forms the basic fundamental basis of resource mobilization and growth of a company of company resources. Apple Inc. has one of the team leaders in its management and this is a sure way to better resource management and implementation of its core competencies. Apple is also known for its innovation. Innovation supplements better good leadership to ensure better resource management and proper implementation of its core competencies. Apple’s success is finally a function of its generic strategy.

In its strategy to outdo its competitors, Apple also employs a generic strategy based on differentiation and differentiation focus. In a world, full of competition companies need good strategies to unlock potential markets and maintain those at hand. Apple Inc. has successfully implemented a differentiation strategy. The company has continuously developed innovative products that are out of its previous product lines to reach out to new markets. Innovation as a core competence has been a great link to the company’s drive in developing new products within the same product line. Innovation, therefore, guarantee competitiveness among Apple’s products and offers a wide product range.

It’s therefore clear that Apple Inc. has successfully integrated innovation, leadership, knowledge, financial resources, and differentiation among other components of its functions to growth to ensure its successful operation for the past years.
As shown apple has a great culture founded on its brand promotion, providing ender user-oriented product lines, sales design, manufacturing and marketing. This has acted as a lubricant to its strong resource base, generic strategy and sound core competencies. It’s therefore correct to outline the importance of a well-defined culture for a firm.
