The importance of sustainable development arises with the ongoing changes in other industries, especially the concern about the benefits it provides to the society. Therefore, it is important to realize new technology that not only enhances efficiency in performance but also that which lead to sustainable development. • Competition in the market is yet another critical component that facilitates the continuations of technological innovation (Brett, 2016, p. 23). Countries such as Japan, China, Europe, and the US are among the leading car manufacturing companies competing to dominate the market. It is for this reason that automation in the motor vehicle industry becomes necessary with countries striving to gain a competitive advantage. Why • The topic on Tesla cars and it’s innovate technology is important especially about the global concern on environmental initiatives. • Nunes, Bennett, and Shaw (2016, p. 25) the process in car manufacturing includes significant benefits as well as adverse effects to the society. Moreover, technology comes with its challenges requiring continuous innovation to tackle them as they occur. The imperative with the increasing in technological solutions is the corresponding rise in demand for energy consumption (Brett, 2016, p. 34). Having considered the issues on technology trends both current and the future, it becomes necessary to incorporate sustainable techniques such as that advocated by the Tesla Company to encourage a brighter future. When • The current trends in the economy identify significant strains in a majority of countries. The lack of a long-lasting financial stability in most nations, especially with economic fluctuations promotes the massive development and implementation of automation. In particular, Brett (2016, p. 36) identifies the rise of unemployment amidst the cost-cutting strategies such as laying-off of employees. Consequently, the financial challenges presently enhance the use of technology to cut down production costs in an aim to generate more output. Therefore, the implementation of autopilot cars is an ongoing event that seeks to provide needed solution to the economic difficulties. • Congestion is yet another important issue that provides evidence of the changing landscape on the need to develop and implement the auto motor industry. According to Brett (2016, p. 37), urban areas in the US are facing a congestion problem with a reduction in packing space as well as traffic problems. Consequently, the congestion promotes poor driving behavior that puts people at risks. Moreover, the infrastructural development is on a slower pace compared to the growth in population and number of car users. Therefore autonomous vehicles provide a viable solution in decongesting the urban areas.
