This is actually a study of robots. Robots are the prepared machines that can be used for doing work. Some of them can do work on their own while other must have a guide to tell them what to do. This term was originally introduced by an author whose name was Isaac Asimov in his book that was published in 1950; there were three laws of robotics presented by him. First was, a robot may not hurt a human being, or, through in force, allow a human being to come to harm. Secondly, a robot has to abide by the orders given to it by human beings apart from where such orders would vary with the First Law. Last one is, a robot ought to guard its own survival as long as such fortification does not conflict with the First or Second Law. Now in present era, robots are widely used by many of the industrial units in order to disseminate their work properly. Uses of Robots in Industrial Units These laws of Isaac had influenced many of the entrepreneurs and make them forced to think about the creative ideas of using robots in their industries. Therefore, Robotics is now widely accepted all around the world and even computer fields and engineering fields are now much more concerned about robots. As they are being used in many factories within critical situations where humans cannot lend a hand, for illustration cleaning of toxic material, defusing bombs situation, making robots work when any place in factory caught on fire and no human could dare to go in and save things that are too much important. A study in past has also identified four places where robots can work: Computer manufacturing systems, agriculture, defense and service sector (Akin & Murphy, 2012). Now a day’s robots have been used as a launch pad to inshore manufacturing for organizations such as Apple, Lenovo, Samsung, and Foxconn. Positive Aspects of Robotics on Manufacturing Industry With more organizations looking for bend forward manufacturing way outs, industrial manufacturing robots offer many paybacks that companies need to continue competitive. The speed of robots, repeatability of doing work, and competence that manufacturing robots provide can augment output and profits, lessen costs, and maintain jobs. One of the positivity’s a robot contains is “Quality”, it has the aptitude to noticeably perk up product quality. Applications performed by robots are at exactitude and oflofty repeatability all the time. This stage of steadiness can be stiff to realize any other way.Productionwith robots is another positivity that speeds up the output, which in a straight line impacts fabrication. Occasionally again and again, industrial computerization has provided industrialized companies with the capacity to stay in pace with and smooth move in front of their competitors. Robotic employment cells, for example, provide corporations the tools to diminish series times, improve quality, and save big. Industrial mechanization has furthermore made it promising for companies to reside strong in the face of economic disturbance and risk of off-shoring. Pitfalls of Robots for Manufacturing Industry Increased Expenses for launching robots to improve company’s performance can cost a owner a lot.The cost of robotic mechanization should be premeditated in light of a business better financial budget. Plus there is no guarantee whether robots will boost up ROI of the company, if you launch it without any planning, milestones will never get achieved. Change resistance of employees toward robotic implementation can also affect the company because employees will know their employment will be in danger if robots have taken their place. Employees will have to take a lot of Training Sessions for learning how to use a robot. Without training employees it will be useless to launch robots. Robots may guard workers from some risks, but in the intervening time, their very presence can create other safety problems. Whenever human beings are about to interact unswervingly with a robot machine in an assistant scenario, the safekeeping systems there in the programmed cellshould have anelevated of forcefulness, in order to shun accidents (Neto, Piers & Moreira, 1990). Impact of Robotics on Economy The altering technologies always have strong impact on economy, not only in developed but also in developing countries. All these technological changes as well as economic system are human made so, the straightforward purpose of the economy and technology is to gratify human wants. But sometimes it is not the case.Robots were for the first time used in agriculture sector and end result was, millions of people lost their jobs. Majority of them moved to a different sector, mainly manufacturing. According to economists, when one sector is automated, another sector arises.But, it is not easy as it looks because millions of people suffer as of automation and lose their incomes. After manufacturing, the economy shifted to service sector but, it is clear that service sector is also going to be automated. Commonly, the taking on of robotics exists in certain industries only, like automotive and electronics. It does not exist in all sectors at the same time. In some divisions of the service sector, labour is replaced by information technology but this is not happening in others. Many economists, reporters, and legislators now consistently assert that technology has no doubt increased the standards of living but it is also responsible for economic doldrums. Today,workers have to race with robots. If the governments of developed countries are not going to increase social spendings, poor people will suffer and die from starvation as of no earning and joblessness and rich people will prefer robots over people. When common people will have no money to spend then, businesspersons will stop positioning on mass market. Impact of Robotics on Employment When people lose their jobs because of technology it is called technological unemployment. Many sectors have seen the effects like agriculture and the same thing is going to happen in approximately every industry such as health care, trade, mass media, and in every business whether it is large or small. It is clear that technology can generate joblessness by relocating workers, because machines can work more efficiently than workers. Not only the largest but also the dominant and leading companies,that would have employedthousands of workers in the past, now do not need that much workers. Like, in 1979, General Motors hired eight lakh and fifty three thousand workers globally. Currently top companies like Google, Apple, Facebook and the last one Amazon have approximately one trillion dollars in market capitalization but they employee even less than one lakh fifty thousand workers together. People without any earning are a burden on society and they can’t contribute in the economy. With the passage of time, technologies are going improve and speedup and it will become more difficult for the workers to get their jobs back. According to economists, the middle-range jobs that used to fund and provide shelter to middle class families are pretty much gone. Uses of robotics in different fields Robots are working these days in various workplaces in developed countries like United States, China, Japan, etc. They are in hospitals, in homes and even in amusement parks. Such robots are called Service robots and they are different from the conventional ones (Pichler& Moreno-Díaz, 1997). These intricate machines often carry out unsafe, monotonous or unpleasant jobs that are risky or boring for human workers. According to research about 1.4 million industrial robots are arrayed around the world and there are quite a lot of million robotic devices which are being designed for home use. There are many uses of robots like: In Hospitals In hospitals robots are used for lifting and relocating patients, distributing medicines to patients rooms, conveying lab samples and reports of patients and are also used for monitoring patients. Some hospitals have robots which can even check temperature and blood pressure of patients For Entertainment Interactive robots are specially designed for entertainment purposes. SONY owns such robot, it can move freely, carries baggage, responds to different commands and even to oral instructions. In Farms Robots are also owned by farmers to cut and amass crops. In developed countries Robotic milk farms are present which allow workers to feed and milk their livestock distantly. In Car Industry In car industry Robotic arms are used to perform different tasks like manufacturing & assembling parts of cars. These arms canperform tasks such as cataloguing, cutting, bonding, lifting the parts, paint them and twisting. In Food Sector Robots are also used in the food industry to perform tasks such as pruning, cutting and dealing out different kinds of meats like chicken, fish etc. In Exploration  Robots can go into the environments that are distressing and risky to human beings like volcano or doing an investigation of deep marine life.NASA is making use of robotic investigation to study environment since 1960’s.
