Skills Developed The skills that have been improved and developed this semester were the following that are discussed below. Developing these skills allowed me to face a high level of success and also with complete control and command which is highly helpful. Time Management The progresses that I had made this semester were in different skill areas. Time management abilities were improved to a very large extent this semester. The ability to plan well within the time limits can lead to the development of constructive processes that in further leads to better results. The semester load consists of various term end projects and to timely complete all the projects requires planning a timeline according to deadlines. Organizational Skills The development of good organizational skills is one of the key ingredients for the individual. Leadership skills and communication skills allowed a lot of tasks to be conducted with no ambiguity and complete conciseness which was appreciated by many of the colleagues. The accountability level also had been improved to a great extent with the amount of work load that had to be conducted. Group Work Being a team player allows the work in groups to be conducted faster and all the goals and objectives are achieved by the deadline. While working in groups this semester, the tasks were divided according to the best abilities of the group members of whatever aspects they were good at. This allowed the work to be complete on time with good results. It was also observed that while working in groups, the group members had observed versatile learning as all members had different skills to complete their tasks. Language Skills Developing the language skills element this semester was a very good development. Working upon developing good language skills allowed the communication processes to be effective also it provided the opportunity to be able to communicate well in the professional work environments as well. Also, language classes were being taken on and off on an occasional basis so that improvements can be observed constantly. Skills Audit The interaction that takes place with the different people and the different sources for getting the information developed my management skills as well as my leadership skills. To be able to communicate well and get the message across of the group requires good leadership skills. As a team leader I was able to lead the group effectively till the end of the semester and all the goals and objectives were achieved timely. Conclusion All these above mentioned skills improved by abilities and helped me to highly develop in the areas where I was lacking. By the development of these skills, I was able to take a right path of becoming a successful professional in my work life. The career that I choose to be in will be easier to accomplish with the help of these string skills which I had developed and progressed in highly this semester. The semester had been highly loaded with projects and assignments of different courses and with good time management skills I was able to complete all tasks in an effective and efficient manner. A proper plan of making personal development plans can prove to be a highly useful document for any individual as they may know extremely well where they stand at the current situation and what types of skills they should focus on to become a successful individual in both personal and professional life. Recommendations The three objectives which I plan to achieve in the next six months are as follows: I plan on to read an effective book on self confidence and on becoming a highly effective individual so that I can have a strong and positive influence on my colleagues and other professionals as well. By having a strong influence I will be able to have more command on the way things should be carried out. I plan to have sessions on anger management and attend their seminars and workshops that will take place on anger management. Having a strong control on anger during work is highly important as things may go well if anger is control and worsen if anger gets out of control. The impact of imposing anger may have a lot of consequences. I also have plans to become a good listener and listen with calmness and patience to the suggestions, views and opinions given by others instead of just cutting on their thoughts and imposing other views. This is important to develop as patience and good listening leads to successful results. SMART Action Plan         Objective: Development of Anger Management so that anger can be controlled in both personal and professional life. Specific: To attend the session on anger management and also their workshops to learn different techniques of controlling temper. To implement NLP techniques so that a more assertive behaviour can be observed in anger filled situations. Measurable: To implement all the anger management techniques discussed in the session and then ask colleagues to judge accordingly whether they see a difference or not. Action Oriented: Taking meditation classes as well so that it helps to control the mind and remain calm in anger related situations. Also, to read books on developing the assertive skills and behaviour in individuals so to see typical situations as positive where anger usually gets out of control. Realistic: Having control on anger management is extremely important for success therefore individuals should work upon managing their anger. Timely: Work on anger management for 6 months so that proper control can be attained on anger management. Plan the daily schedule accordingly so that proper time can be given to meditation classes.
