The paper "Education vs Economic Crisis - Eurognosi Aglantzia" is an outstanding example of an education capstone project. The purpose of the project is to find and deeply analyze the main needs of today’s users as it comes to education in private institutes. To achieve such an analysis, new market research will be implemented in order to investigate those needs. For the purpose of this project, the institute to be used would be “Eurognosi” and more specifically the branch in Aglantzia.

A SWOT analysis will be implemented to develop critical thinking to improve the strategic plans and objectives of the branch. The main advantage of the project lies in its uniqueness and is the forebear of more studies to come. Drawing on this the recommendations included in the project would provide the private institute with the chance to achieve relevant improvements in order to meet the needs of its customers. The present research is considered of high importance as it would give the organization the opportunity to keep its existing customers but also expand its affinity to new ones, especially now, during a period of economic recession.

Though there are hundreds of private institutes in Cyprus, providing similar services as Eurognosi, those institutes inevitably closed down during the previous academic years as a result of the economic crisis. Having this in mind, I set out to develop the best project to find out the relevant marketing strategies for Eurognosi, so it gradually becomes one of the leading educational centres in the area of Aglantzia. Introduction and Background InformationThe educational group “Eurognosi” is the largest European organization of Southeast Europe in languages and computer teaching.

Eurognosi was founded in Greece in 1989 aiming to provide high-quality education in European Languages for students of all ages. After years of success in Greece, Eurognosi expanded its branches in Cyprus, Bulgaria and Romania. Today, Eurognosi operates a cumulative 350 educational branches for foreign languages and computers with more than 60,000 students on an average annual basis in all four countries. The organization’s services expand to students of ages of four years old through to adulthood and are set to provide excellent educational standards of all programs.

To achieve these services the latest teaching methods combined with innovative technologies are implemented.
