Annotation: This article offers many tools that can be used in education and are crucial in moving education in a positive direction. The authors explain the each tool; video, blogs, wikis, web and podcasting and gives examples of institutions that used these tools. They clarify that technological tools have a positive impact on student’s lives because they will have an opportunity to connect and access the material in a way that is more familiar and natural than traditional means. This article also shows that using technology tools create a flexible learning environment. The article illustrates an effective way, which is using technology tools in education to improve it and help students understand their subjects easily. Annotation: The authors demonstrate that using technology in instruction helps teachers create learning context that were not previously possible with traditional teaching methods. The article explains researches to prove that using technology in instructions enhance not only the learning capacities of students but also their motivation; therefore, students are more engaged in the learning process. Mathematics was chosen as the subject to be studied. This article design the research about mathematics and how it was work then it shows the result. This article gives a significant research, which is about using technology in mathematics class. It provides the result of research and how technologies improve students’ capabilities in mathematics class. The author proves that by providing researches of students who use technology in the classroom such as smartphones, tablets and laptops to do homework can make them more interested in subjects than students who do not use these technologies. He also explained how technology is changing the way students learn and how much they benefit. In addition, the author provided some problems of using technology in the classroom; however, he gave some possible solutions. This article provided researches that show the positive effects of using technology in the classroom such as smartphones and tablets. It also explained solutions for some problems that may happen when technology is used in the classroom. This article will be used as a useful reference to support the use of technology in classrooms. Annotation: Muir-Herzig believes that using technology in the classroom such as computer has a positive impact on at-risk students’ grades and attendance. He explains that schools need to prepare for teaching at-risk students who need to be challenged and encouraged to use complex thinking skills. The author mentioned a number of researchers who state that schools with the use of technology would become more student-centered. He points out that using technology in the classroom will make students more effective and independent learners. In addition, he believes that technology must be ingrained into the education that includes teacher training, curriculum, student assessment, and a school’s capacity for change. He explains one study that has four goals all of them focused on the effect of using technology among teachers, students, and schools. He showed the survey about this study and then he explained the results. Muir-Herzig confirmes that technology help students including at-risk student enhance their attitudes to learning. Annotation: Gulek and Demirtas shows the impact of laptop program use on student’s achievement and how the laptop program extended across the United States. They examine the impact of the Harvest Park Middle School’s laptop immersion program on student learning. Gulek and Demirtas made specific research questions which were about the impact of using laptop program on students’ grade point average, end-of-courses grades, essay writing skills, and test scores. The authors describe the laptop program and when it established and explained how the programs work. Moreover, they illustrate the enrollment of the program in each grade and the result of the enrollment. They focused on the results of laptop program in mathematics, language, and writing in each grade. The significant part in this research is that they explained the difference between laptop and non-laptop students. The authors believe that technology has a positive impact on student’s motivation, behavior, engagement, and students’ interaction with their peers or teacher. I chose this article as one of my resources because it stands as evidence that using technology in education can be very useful for students and teachers. Citation: Bryant, P. Bryant, R. Raskind, H. (1998). Using assistive technology to enhance the skills of students with learning disabilities. Intervention in School & Clinic, 34(1), 53-58. Annotation: In short, this article has showed the effectiveness of using assistive technology (AT) devices such as word processors, reading machines, talking computers and educational software for students who have learning disabilities. The authors describe the evaluation process, which includes considering the setting demands, students’ characteristics, technology adaptation and technology student matches. I chose this article as one of my resources because it stands as evidence that using technology in education can be very useful especially for students who have learning disabilities. Annotation: In this book, Facer describes the need for inclusion of technology in education. He asserted that the world is fast changing and the dynamics call for a more integrated approach to education. Integrating technology in education enhances innovation and the ability of students to adapt into the current world. The author actively relates education and technology and assert that students are better placed to handle the outside world if they are adequately equipped with information using the current technologies. As such, they can easily adapt to new technologies, or assist in the development of such technologies. The author points that education should be about equipping students for the future. It is thus in the best interest of the students and the society to integrate technology in school curriculum. This book will enhance my knowledge on the need for integrating technology in education and its benefits in enhancing learning. Citation: Maier, P., & Warren, A. The authors asserts that students who use technology find it easier to learn school content through computers. Students are able to get online help from peers and information sites. Moreover, students are able to get guidelines from National Curriculum, information on careers and tips on completing their homework. Research is the backbone of any higher education institution. Thus, higher education institutions must embrace technology in order to access information from anywhere in the world. By so doing, students are able to get more information or a hands-on approach to aspects of interest. Students are also able to carry out autonomous learning that boost the overall knowledge base of the students. I will use this resource to show the benefits of technology in learning process.
