Four major car manufactures in Europe are the main customers. In addition it also has two major car manufacturing companies in the US. In the past fiscal years, the company has had a number of challenges. This was because of their outsourcing of their services to Bang IT and Bend IT. As a result several late deliveries have been recorded. With a three shift system of weak, it is expected that the company should perform better and be able to deliver its services on time but this is not always the case. To make it worse, there are some damaged stocks that reach the customers making it very risky as there are many other competitors who are all eying the market. The turnover of the staff is also low a factor that directly transmit to the production level of the company. In this comprehensive swot profile of draper engineering, the in-depth strategic swot analysis of the company has been provided. This profile has been compiled by the head of engineering department in order to bring to the general people the unbiased view of draper engineering’s strength and weaknesses. The threats and potential opportunities are also looked into to know the best solutions to all the challenges that are there. Question 1 SWOT Analysis Strengths One of the major strengths of the draper company is their loyal employees. There are employees who have worked in the company for more than 20 years. This is a major boost for the company since the longer an employee stays in a particular place the higher the experience that they have and which translates to their performance. This means that Draper Company has a higher chance of performing better due to their experienced loyal employees. The other major strength of the company is the three shifts that it has. This provides maximum time for the employees to be able to relax and to avoid overworking themselves. In return, the employees should be able to be more productive. Unlike in a two shift case the three shifts are much better. Breaking down of the engineering departments is also a major strength as each department is given their own work and held responsible for not completing a task on time incase such an occurrence occurs. This makes it easy to manage the engineering department as a whole. The other strength that the company has is its investment in the advanced modern manufacturing technologies. This is a major boost to the company as it is able to produce its products more efficiently compared to other competitors. This also means that it is able to produce top quality products that will help promote them in the market. Modern manufacturing methods are also fast and efficient a factor that will highly boost the production of the products. Weaknesses One of the major weaknesses is the staff turnover. Being such a large company staff turnover is very crucial. With a higher turnover like this, it is very bad to keep losing employees and employing others.
