Would children be better served by a program devised by Texas for TEXAS? In many websites, debate forums and even national level, many have had of the discussion regarding decentralization of the education system from the government to the state level. Currently, the education system remains controlled by the overall government America. The education system hence has roots in the federal controlled program. According to some activist and politicians, some people prefer the education system to be run at the state level rather than at the government level (James & Kevin 17). Education should be managed and controlled at the state local level since different communities have corresponding different needs. Employing a similar curriculum in all may sideline some community’s important aspects of their culture. For example, if examinations show that a certain school is poor in mathematics, it is quite easy to adjust to change this deficit. The parents and the community of Texas at large are well conversant with the educational needs in the society than someone else in California. If the students of Texas are more interested in a certain career than the other, then this passion should be exploited for mass output of human brains. Education controlled at the state level would allocate schools the flexibility they require particularly in managerial and teaching practice. Different populations of our children face different obstacles in learning. Additionally, these children learn in a different manner due to different upbringing, peer influence and cultural activity. We have to recognize this and react by offering schools much freedom to change with circumstances (James & Kevin 77). This will minimize wasteful allocations made from the current federal government which has little use locally. The flexibility will allow schools to and states to plan and implement their timetables and annual calendars appropriately in favor of their other activities and climatic conditions. For instance, when it is too hot in Texas, it may be apparently too cold I another state making education for children not favorable. Hence, having education managed at the local stage will allow the state of Texas to implement a new curriculum and education annual c calendar specifically suiting economic, climatic and political activities in Texas. In accordance to an article in New York Times by Kate Taylor on 6th March, 2012, entailing school funds allocation being reduced by the government to schools, if states had taken excellent control of school, such a thing could not be affect them. According to the interview by John on education, this leadership structure would promote more co-operations between school boards and city/municipality/county governments in district control. Funding resolutions would be completed by a working group consisting of board members in Texas and potentially extra mayor-selected members while curriculum decisions and instruction would be exclusively dealt with by the school board. This has the benefit of allowing school boards on focusing on what they do or can do best as far as education is concerned and allows voters to command the school board in terms of performance regular observation (Robert 78). School superintendents would proceed as the unifying oblige between the state and the federal government and a countenance to the public. It will be easier for parents to reach the local administration, monitor their children educational systems and contribute to any reforms and procedures required. For instance, if parents are complaining about a certain issue concerning education, they will not have to travel all the way to the federal government educational headquarters to be addressed on their demands. They will instead visit the educational board managing education here in Texas and have their problem solved by the board. This will enhance a bit of democracy and time consciousness in Texas community (Sheppard 88). This is because the educational system will run on its own as a state and no bother to or from the federal government. The practice will also offload the federal government some burden in its responsibilities in the education department. Education matters should be left for the Texas state rather the federal government to reduce assumption cases. The federal government often views the education system at the macro-level, while the Texas state will view education system from micro-level. Education when left to be controlled at the state level means management will be better in order to suit the education needs of the local. At the government level, many at times, they tend to ignore minor issues affecting education in certain areas and concentrate more in already established places (Sheppard 46). Furthermore, education controlled at national level sometimes become prone to political disturbances. Recently, a republican candidate running for the seat of the president commented on the need for the federal department of education allocating its duties to states. Politicians often become keen on key areas in order to continue with their slogans. Lately, the education sector has become a proficient ground for politicians to argue about (Carney 55). Since nearly all Americans take their children to school and appreciate the value of education, then people always wish their children getting the best. Over the years, with incidences of a number of schools poorly mismanaged and receiving less funding, a number of states suggested the education system to be left to be run at the state level. For example, the education system in Texas can be funded and run by the local government instead of the government. The purpose of this will be to eliminate politics from interfering with the education system (Carney 56). Education controlled at the state level often becomes less prone to corruption and favouritism allegations. At the national level, for instance, schools that perform well become allocated more resources compared to schools than perform poorly. State level education in Texas will hence provide resources necessary to develop the local schools. In knowing the problems of each school at a personal level, the state can be able to address their problems accordingly. Management at national level often becomes interfered with by corrupt individuals after embezzlement of the national cake (Boone 23). In the constitution of the United States of America, there remains a part of the law that delegates responsibilities to the states to run their own schools. Texas for instance receives a lot of income yearly which some of it has to be contributed at national level in order to be channeled back to its schools. Such a situation remains ironical since the United States of America remains to be a capitalist state, not a centralized government (David 34). It beats logic why one should contribute the resources that he or she produces from his or her own states for the government to give to other schools, instead of bettering their own. In a state controlled education system, funds become allocated equally to all schools. The Texas run education system will be a success due to external interference by the government when it becomes depleted with funds. Accordance to the given law, education should entirely be left to be run by the Texas government. Since United states of America comprise of States which remain diverse, control of education at the federal level becomes quit a tricky affair. At the government level, education often becomes approached from a general point of view. If education becomes handed over to the Texas government, such assumption s will not be part of it. In terms of the region and demographic issues, it will be the Texas government that how factors in their place come to play to affect the learning of the children (Harno 66). Often there are some socio-economic factors like agriculture and the rest that do have an impact on academics. In a state that produces lots of food, means that education fees can be subsidized greatly. In addition, states controlled education system will be less prone to bias from its officials. Students and parents can be able to access education offices to speak to some of the officials regarding their personal problems. Education at the federal level often becomes hard for parent and students to visit when they have pressing issues. In summary, education at government level should be handed over to the state level like Texas due to some of the reasons mentioned above. States often provide a better place to have schools since they tend to understand the different needs of the students. Furthermore, states often posses control over cultural information plus education in that given area (Boone 83). Parents can also easily access local official and discuss issues relating to their children education in detail. At the state level, corruption and favouritism incidences remain low as compared to national level. Finally, the education system can be much better when left for states to run on their own.
