This love for Vesper makes him to resign from work in order to be with her. This makes him to also go to Venice for vacation with high hopes of starting a quality life with her. Here Vesper takes the advantage of the innocent acts of Bond and takes the money to deliver it to the henchman from the Quantum Company. Bond goes after her but the thugs emerge and take her as hostage where they lock her in the elevator. This gives them space and ample time battle with James Bond. The battle results in several explosions where the building that has flooded sinks. Vesper dies in the elevator despite the bonds action to rescue her.
