The symbols and word which have been used in the advertisement would be a dollar note that has been shown to drop from the conditioning devices. The relationship between the product and the buyers would be of working together as a unit and save money ( BerkeleyHeating 2011). Social Analysis: The targeted audiences of the advertisement are working class who are employed and are earning bread and butter for the family. A qualitative research on advertisements by one of the leading beauty product producers was conducted. The results showed that advertisers use various techniques to manipulate customers into purchasing their products. This kind of advertising spills over into other industries such as the retail industry and is not only localized to beauty products.
Texts have meanings that may be overt or hidden, and analyzing them as written can bring about a different perspective and a deeper understanding of whose interests they are serving (McGregor, 2003). Discourse analysis is defined as the study of language use beyond the boundaries of a sentence since it is concerned with the interrelationships between language and society (Slembrouck, 2006).
