The degree of effects on advertising in children has been noted to be higher than among adults (Mason, 2012). While advertisers used to indirectly appeal to children through their parents, the current trend has been to target the children aged between 5 and 15 directly in spite of their lack of cognitive or emotional tools to evaluate whatever is being sold to them.
