For example, the energy coming from the sun, which is useless in our industry, can be converted to become electricity and be used as a source of energy to light up our homes and power our industries. The same principle applies to wind and water, where the energy can be converted into another form of energy to become useful. b. Nuclear energy – nuclear energy derives its energy from the fission of atoms. It is a cheap and reliable source of energy. The downside of nuclear energy is its wastes which are extremely toxic and could last for a very long time.

The possibility of a plant accident could also render the environment radiated and, in effects harmful such as the case of Chernobyl and, more recently, Fukushima (Mackenzie, 20144). c. Solar energy – solar energy is an energy source taken from the sun through the solar panels and then converted into useful energy. This source of energy is renewable, infinite, clean and free. The downside of solar energy is that it is not cheap to install solar panels and the mechanism to convert them to use energy. d. Wind power – is energy sourced from the wind through windmills.

This energy is renewable, clean and infinite. Again, its downside is that it is expensive to set up windmills and convert them to electricity. It usually comes in the form of turbines put in a dam. This is a clean source of energy and renewable. It is however limited only to areas where there is a strong current of waters enough to turn a turbine. Is an energy source from live organisms that are converted into energy, such as animal waste turned into an energy source. This energy source does not emit carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

It is, however not a reliable source of energy on a large scale because it needs a lot of waste and organic materials to create energy. Title XVI-Climate Change on Subtitle A - —National Climate Change Technology Deployment. In sum, the provision encourages technologies that will avoid the by-product of greenhouse gases through the guarantee of loans. This provision also increases the amount of biofuel that should be mixed in the gasoline in the US. Hydraulic fracturing.  ‘‘(B) excludes— ‘‘(i) the underground injection of natural gas for purposes of storage; and ‘‘(ii) the underground injection of fluids or propping agents (other than diesel fuels) pursuant to hydraulic fracturing operations related to oil, gas, or geothermal production activities’’.
