Additionally, in all sphere of working environment, we encountered with different scenarios in which some are simple and others are identified to be complex. In the context, when we work for any organisation, we need to behave in a professional and ethical manner. Moreover, professionalism in behaviour focuses over the aspect of conducting our activities that includes respect for other peoples, commitment towards performing quality work, responsibilities as well as personal integrity. Besides, the aspect of professional behaviour is amalgamation of two different words profession and behaviour in which profession referred as the work that requires particular skill and involve high-level education as well as competencies in an individual. On the other hand, behaviour is regarded as way of acting or behaving in a particular scenario. Thus, based on the above analysis and discussion, I understood that professional behaviour is the approach of reflection of professionalism. Besides, in the overall respect, if we behave in a professional manner, then we will be able to uphold good respect over the public. On the other hand, it has also been reflected that if we tends towards behaving in a professional manner, it will significantly assist in uplifting our career and improve the overall working environment. The learning module assisted me with the aspect that in order to ensure professional behaviour, we must tend to compel the assigned rule and law in the professional ground. For instance, in a business, the accountants are needed to ensure that their work is conducted in accordance with the rules and the standards, which are applicable in the field of accounting. Moreover, the aspect not only emphasis the written rules and conduct, but also includes unwritten aspects in much ethical manner ensuring reduction of possible disrepute over the professions. Nevertheless, in the working environment, professional activities are highly interlinked, as an individual breaking his/her professional practice and code of conduct will create significant impact over the entire profession. Week 2: Professional Conduct Based on discussion of the learning module, I can affirm the fact that professional conduct is acting and governing the activities in a professional manner. In this respect, code of conduct is regarded as an important approach of ethical benchmark of the professional practice. Additionally, I can affirms the fact that a defined set of code of conduct is regarded to be central guidelines or references that assisted to support and ensure the practice of professional practice. For instance, the key principles of IOSH includes the aspect of integrity that ensures the aspect of trustworthiness, competence i.e. related with knowledge, respect for other members of the group and services related to the work needed to be performed. Thus, the aspect of professional conducts governs the practice in which the employees/members deal with the situation of ethical dilemmas that they encountered in their respective field of work. Correspondingly, the approach of the organisation structure in theoretical prospective is regarded to be a defined structure regarding task allocation, coordination as well as supervision of different activities towards achieving the ultimate goal. In the similar respect, the IOSH’s organisation structure consist of the executive team i.e. CEO perform membership and policy related activities and on the other hand, in the lower level, there is Executive Directorates entrusted for performing commercial and corporate services. Moreover, in order to ensure promoting the creative approaches that defined code of conduct is very much an integral aspect, as in the professional environment, it is likely to be recognised as abilities of every member influencing the overall capabilities to mitigate the issues with the professional knowledge as well as understanding. Thus, the approach of code of different activities enables to eradicate the challenge in an efficient manner. In this regard, it can be affirmed that code is been established to harmonizes the standards, policies as well as the rules of workplace. IOSH’s Code of Conduct, for instance, emphasises towards assigning the prime duties to be adhered in a workforce, maintaining a balanced environment, execute the work based on the responsibilities and maintaining the overall level of competence. Week 3: Learning and Reflecting In the professional practice, Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is regarded as the approach through which the professionals can develop proper knowledge as well as skills that are related to the professional activities. Additionally, in the approach of the CPD, reflective writing is an integral mechanism that considered the past behaviour and practices learnt and experienced. Besides, in the current environment due to the increasing importance over obtaining superior result in the field of the study as well as profession, staff members as well as students are needed to develop an appropriate reflection about them for the better quality of result. Apparently, in the current environment, future prospects are highly uncertain and becoming highly complex thus, in order to meet the ambiguity, we need to develop the approach of suppressing our inner competence level to urge and control the surrounding in an efficient manner. Similarly, the approach of the reflective thinking allows people to avoid mistakes and achieve the prospect of self-improvement. In a similar respect, IOSH’s principles in workplace environment utilises the approach of reflective practice in the course of professional development of the teachers in the field of pre-service as well as in-service professionals. Notably, for the module of improving and enhancing the learning practice includes the series of process staring for planning the prospect of learning, doing the activity in accordance with the plan, study related to summarising the aspect of learning and act accordingly. On the other hand, the discussion also highlighted the integral aspect that approach of reflective writing will enable me to examine self-beliefs as well as the assumptions, which further allow identifying such areas that need improvements. In addition, this aspect will enables enrichment of own skills, recognise the area of discrimination, examine the procedure of decision making and mode of improvement and pitfalls along with the evidences of lifelong learning approach. Week 4: Organisational Leadership v Management In theoretical prospect, leadership as well as management practises is regarded as critical aspects in order to effectively and efficiently operate the activities for long-term survival. Considering the aspect of leadership, I can affirm that it enable effective and organized management functionality of the business activities with working along with people for attaining the ultimate goals and objectives. Moreover, the approach of effective leadership will significantly assist organisations in the way to transform the motivational levels of workforce and enhance the overall productivity of the businesses. On the other hand, organisation management practices facilitate in administering the functionally of a business through the aspect of management to attain the desire aims. However, in the various point of instance in the business environment, organizations face substantial challenges in the process of effectively managing the workforce. Moreover, different beliefs, shared expectations, values and assumptions of the employees will further led to difficulties in maintaining the activities. Thus, the approach of effective leadership practices enables the organisations in supervising and managing the workforce for performing operation in a multi-cultural environment. Apparently, in an organisation, approach of team has been utilised in achieving the end result of the business, which enables to define different set of roles and responsibilities based on their level of competences. However, I learned that building an appropriate team is regarded as series of process includes forming, storming, performing, informing and adjourning. On the contrary, it has also been affirmed that if team tends to increase in size, then the productive may likely to fall because of increasing social recognition among the members. Moreover, the task of the team may be action oriented, people oriented and thought oriented, which likely to be depended on the objective of forming the team. Team leadership and management play an integral role, because the team members needed to be properly motivated and guided to achieve the desired goals. Thus, reflecting the aspect of leadership and management, it is very essential for the people in the leadership position to maximize their leadership abilities, as these leadership competencies help to lead and manage the team more effectively and contribute to the organizational success. In this regard, I can affirm that involvement in more positive communication, remaining abstained from unethical and illegal activities, transform negative situations into opportunities, and enhancing the behaviour of positive changes in the task will enable to contribute in organizational success. Week 5: Managing Change and Change Analysis In business environment owing to the role of globalization and high level of competition in the marketplace, organizations need to constantly adopt significant step to maintain a competitive advantage. Additionally, in such aspect of changing business environment, making relative changes in an organization is becoming integral for a business, as without change, it will likely to lose its competitive edge and loyalty in the hand of the customers. In the context of a business, relatively the prior reasons because of which changes have taken place includes advancement in technology, changing needs of the customers, progress in an economy and possibility of growth in the marketplace among others. Relatively, I can ascertain that increasing the profitability, improve moral, environmental factor, staff turnover, better industrial relations and possibility of enhancing customers’ base, improve quality as well as increase the overall sales among other factors boosted the aspect of change in an organisation. However, certain aspects relatively threaten and resist the change in an organisation, which includes need to adopt new policies and practices, feeling of uncertainty with the change management in the mind of the customers, possibility of the layoff and importance in an organisation. Similarly, with the aspect of change management, possible behaviour of the workforce includes anxiety, threaten, fear, forward moving or depressed. Besides, planned and emergent are two different methods that allow change to happen in an organisation and on the other hand, planned approach emphasis empowering, communicating, promoting better learning approach whereas, emergent approach focuses towards bottom up approach and continuous process of adaptation as well experiment with the workforce. Correspondingly, organisational change management is relatively three-step process including unfreeze, change and refreeze. Apparently, to ensure the change to relatively taken place an organisation needs to ensure that it unfreezes the traditional approach and employees are ready to accept the changes. The next phase is to make the change happen in an organisation and last phase is refreezing the new system and ensure that it will be permanent. Nevertheless, effectiveness of change will be measured by multiplying the quality that change management will likely to enhance with the acceptance of the change management in the hand of the workforce. Week 6: Body Language and Interviews In the prospect of the investigation process, not using the systematic approach, overlooking the possible causes and impacts, unmotivated investigator are key factors that led to the failure of investigation. In a similar respect, in the prospect of the medical environment, it has been highly important to investigate the possibilities of all accidents regardless to minor or major in order to ensure adequate care and safety of the people. Similarly, from the discussion, I can recognise that inefficient working procedure, lack of training initiatives, supervision, lack of leadership, poor safety among other factors remain the root causes for accidents. Besides, any possible accident will significantly led to considerable loss and harm to an organisation. Thus, the approach of accident investigation is significantly been important aspect in the process of gathering of required information, analyse the possible causes, assess the potential remedies in future, develop action plan, report the data and taking corrective measures with monitoring aspects. Apparently, in order to ensure the success of the process, it been integral that proper communication is been followed and all the respected individuals who are been involved will be informed regarding the plan and its importance. For instance, during the scenario of saviour accidents, police focuses towards gathering necessary evidences and findings to sort out the mystery behind the incidents. Correspondingly, interview is one of the formal manners of gathering the required information related to the accident to evaluate the possible result. In this regard, during job interview, the fact regarding possession of the degree of knowledge by an individual is revealed through a candidate’s body language and behaviour. Week 7: Budgeting and Cost Controls Budgeting is regarded as the process of estimating the investment initiative in the planned activity, as ascertaining the estimation will allow us to determine whether we have required fund or not to carry out the planned objectives. Additionally, the prospect of budgeting allows us to prioritise the cost and expenses that we needed to bear in different activities. Besides, the aspect of budget is also related to financial projection, as it is integrated with finance. For instance, planning for the launch of a new product, business need to carry out budgeting operation in order to ensure how much they are going to spend over production, research and marketing among other different activities. Apparently, the prior purpose behind carrying out the budget is to forecast the possible income as well as expenses, monitors the business activities and profitability aspects. Correspondingly, in order to conduct or determine the aspects of conducting the market research, consulting different specialised individuals and proper planning is essential. Moreover, a business plan, historical evidences of an organisation’s accounting system as well as knowledge and experience of key and specialised personnel of and organisation play a major source of information. In this consideration, it can be justified with the fact that a business plan changes constantly and thus, budget needs to be acquainting accordingly. On the other hand, the historical prospect helps to determine the income and expenses as well as profitability in the previous scenarios. On the contrary, determining the budget from the prospective of the one person is not possible with reference to the possibility of errors and thus, the approach of working in a coordinative team was taken into consideration while formatting the budget. However, in relation to budgeting, various issues are likely to be faced related to the aspect whether the budget has been properly estimated in relation to actual benefits for a business from the estimated budget. Week 8: Recruitment Retention of Employees Prevention and Rehabilitation It has often been recognized that in the changing business environment, high level of competition led to increased level of turnover among the employees, which is required to be effectively managed. Moreover, advancement in technology has considerably facilitated the employees to acquire institution knowledge, which in turn has assisted an organisation in terms of employee retention. In this regard, proper safety, free from harassment as well as unfair practice, fair payment structure, health, security, promotion, trainings, benefits, supportive environment and job satisfaction are few important considerations that employees wanted to ensure in a job environment. However, unemployment issues are regarded as the integral reason for having the adverse impact over the health of the people. Relatively, without the monitory benefits, employees tend to have adverse impact over their health. On the other hand, workers receive additional benefits like pension after retirement for ascertaining their healthier, wealthier as well as prosperous life. Under the Equity Act of employment, there are nine different characteristics based on which the employees are categorised that includes age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation. Besides, considering to the laws related to employment, there is no law relating to rehabilitate by the employers to their employees, who are sick during off work.
