Women’s Inclusion in Education Development primarily relies on the inclusion of women in the field of education. There are numerous types of development, such as economic development, social development, cultural development, financial development and all other types of development in which the role of woman is central as she remains the major contributor to the sustainable social and economic development of the social fabric of the society. In this regard, it is worth highlighting that, without the presence and substantial support and contribution of woman, it is almost impossible to provide congenial domestic environment to children. More clearly, any regional or national development is a combination of involvement of individual families in which woman in the role of mother plays a central role. Keeping this view in mind, it has become highly essential to provide maximum educational opportunities to woman as this would enable her to nurture and nourish her children in the most productive way which would result in higher national development and performance as well. However, some argue that for any housewife, it looks highly challenging task to manage both children responsibilities and home requirements simultaneously. In the following parts of this paper, first, education and women has been elaborated. Subsequently, it is followed by the section highlighting and discussing the importance of women’s inclusion in education. Woman and education The cost of uneducated woman is higher than the cost of educated woman. In many countries, cost of education has been rapidly growing and this substantial and constant rise has discouraged many families to provide quality education to their all children. Consequently, this has led to believe that education can only be given to male children rather than to female children. Additionally, in some countries, religious beliefs also discourage the followers to provide education to their girls. For example, in the religion of Islam, some scholars believe that girls should not be allowed to receive education. And in order to support their perspective, they contend that allowing girls for receiving education would provide them an opportunity to freely interact with boys which become a major cause of social evil in their society. However, this type of belief has made this world more insecure and unsafe as well. For example, because of this backward thinking and perspective, the world is facing the menace of terrorism and extremism; and the events of 9/11 are the result of one of such insane manifestations. As a result, it can be extracted that because of this thinking, many innocent people lost their lives in that attack. At the same time, the followers of that thinking are still causing harm to humans and humanity as terror attacks are still taking place in number of other countries as well. In order to avoid this cost, which is being paid by the whole humanity, it has become highly necessary and unavoidable to work against this belief and promote and encourage woman education. For example, an educated mother would be in a better position to nourish her children by telling and teaching them to become a good human and citizen by thinking and doing good to oneself and to others as well. Additionally, the educated woman has a position in the society that enables her to play a constructive and productive role in the development of successful people in the society. Woman’s inclusion in education Rights knowledge Nobody is honest and everybody is ready to harm others (Adichie 31). Even world is parallel but it is difficult to totally understand everyone (Reddi 192). And only through knowledge and understanding of basic rights remain the most important way for fighting against inhumane behavior towards women. Moreover, the constitution has been written in which rights and obligations of all citizens have been clearly mentioned. And the knowledge and understanding of these basic rights and obligations enable the woman to avail all facilities and benefits which are enjoyed by the man. For example, the U.S. law does not differentiate between man and woman when it comes to dispense justice; more clearly, in the eyes of law, both man and woman are equal and have equal and fair access to justice. In this regard, it is worth mentioning that this law and access to justice can only be availed and accessed only if the woman is educated, knows and understands such provisions of legal system. In other words, if the woman is illiterate; it would be nearly impossible for her to fight for their rights and seek justice from the relevant legal forum. Violence is differently defined by various authors (Summers and Hoffman 39). Domestic violence refers to use of physical and verbal and emotional violence (Singh and Singh 147). More importantly, knowledge and understanding of such legal provisions have become more relevant and significant in today’s environment. One report highlights that from the period of 2001 to the end of 2012, 11,766 women were killed in the United States of America because of domestic violence in the country (Vagianos). In the same report, it has been highlighted that at least 3 women are murdered every day because of the domestic abuse or violence in the country (Vagianos). These shocking domestic violence statistics clearly indicates that the problem of domestic violence and the victims of such violence are increasing day by day and this problem is not going to fade away easily. In this regard, it is worth highlighting that the problem of domestic violence can be decreased through providing ample education to the victims along with enabling and giving them access to seek justice. Furthermore, it has been highlighted that, among various reasons, that trigger the spread of domestic violence in the country, the silence of victims remains one of the major causes. The silent victims indirectly justify the perspective of cruel person and encourages that the violence is the only way to address the problem. In other words, woman herself is also responsible for the spread of domestic violence as she avoids breaking the silence and remains skeptical to go against the grain. Educated family Educated family is a way to nourish an educated society. Awareness is an important part of education as it enables ignorant women to know their rights and other methods to avail the facility of rights. In this regard, it is important to mention that education and awareness are interrelated to some extent. For example, an educated woman after knowing her social and domestic rights through a particular awareness program would be in a better position to understand the purpose of awareness and would also be able to know the importance of knowing the basic knowledge and understanding of such rights. On the contrary, if an uneducated woman receives important rights information through the same awareness program, she might not be able to fully avail this opportunity and use it to improve her understanding relating to her social and domestic rights. And this is mainly caused by the fact that the educated woman remains in a better position to understand the specific legal terms and legal provisions through the awareness campaign whereas the uneducated woman might not be able to understand those terms even after obtaining information from the awareness campaign program. Based on this perspective, it can be easily argued that the educated mother is prerequisite for an educated and successful family and that subsequently contributes to the development and nourishment of the educated society. Conclusion The rise of domestic violence can be considerably reduced through education of women. Education enables woman to know her basic and domestic rights and understanding of this knowledge further encourages her to take all measures to fight against the cruelty and harsh behaviors normally found in the domestic life. Additionally, awareness programs becomes more effective and useful when they are received and availed by the educated women as they are in a better and stronger position to build an educated family which leads to the development of educated society.
