Results indicated that there was no significant difference in resting blood pressure, resting heart rate, or blood variables with the chronic supplementation of Assault. Both groups significantly decreased body fat percentage (Assault: -12.81%, Placebo: -9.9%) and increased fat-free mass (Assault: 2.83%, Placebo: 2.26%), while only the Assault group experienced an increase in body weight (0.88%). Results indicated that there was a significant decrease in relative aerobic capacity (-3.54%) in the Assault group. However, no significant difference was seen in absolute aerobic capacity in either group (Assault: -3.24%, Placebo: 2.3%). Results also showed a significant increase in ventilatory threshold (9.71%) and lower body muscular strength (4.57%) comparing pre- and post-performances in the Assault group: the placebo group showed no significant difference in either variables. Additionally, the Assault group significantly increased their ventilatory threshold by 8.81% and lower body strength by 9.4% more than the placebo. Triglycerides increased in the placebo and supplement groups, while no difference was seen in HDL (good cholesterol) or LDL (bad cholesterol) levels. Findings from this investigation suggest that the pre-workout supplement Assault is a safe product to take every day for around 33 days. These data suggest that Assault may be most effective in individuals looking to increase their anaerobic capacity at the moderate expense of aerobic capacity. ...Show more
