Another major problem facing the organization is funding as it relies on outside funding since most of the patient s are not able to foot their medical bills. This article is a strategic action plan on how the hospital can overcome these problems; the resources need to make this plan work and justification of the plan. Strategic Action plan and its Justification The weaknesses of the organization can be overcome by instituting several organizational changes. The most important one being on simplifying the decision making process.

Although the executive is large and there are many people who need to be consulted before making decision, this can be changed making it easy for urgent decision to be carried out fast. The board should first meet and give power to the operational manager to make certain decision which need to be implemented first. Only major decisions should be left to be made by the whole board. To ensure that efficiency is still maintained, the operational manager should give accurate report on decision and actions carried out to the board when the need arises.

In all this cases, the manager should be transparent and make decision that benefits all the stakeholders. Another crucial issue is on the motivation of employees. The employees are the most important asset that an organization can have. This implies that employee satisfaction is important for any organization to succeed. Well motivated employees have job satisfaction and this increases performance in terms of quality and quantity.

The most effective incentive plan is one that recognizes individual achievement. For instance, if the organization’s main objective at this time is to improve quality of services, the employee who gives the best quality is rewarded well and this motivates other to work towards the same goal.

This is better than group incentive plans where everyone gets rewarded when the organization achieves more even those who have made minima contribution. The individual incentive plans ensures that each person gives the best performances which result in overall excellent group performance. The organization can overcome its problem of shortage of staff by utilizing the volunteers well. This is because the hospital always has volunteers all year round and it has been observed that they are being underutilized.

The hospital should therefore develop a program which should be strictly controlled by the human resource department. In this plan, the HR should identify the number of volunteers available at any one point, and then allocate them duties especially in areas which are critically understaffed. He should also ensure that the volunteers are closely monitored to ensure that they abide by the hospital codes and that they are carrying out the job as they should. This eases the workload on the hospital staff which can also be a motivator and the hospital is also able to get extra hands without incurring extra costs.

The volunteers should also work closely with the
