Animation Introduction The world of arts has grown very dynamic in the past few decades. Several genres of arts have emerged and grown to be very big. Animation is among the works of art that have developed tremendously over the past few years (Wells, 2002). Animation can be defined as the practice of crafting motion and shape changes through subsequent display of several images that are different from each other. Animations can be recorder on various media platforms, both in the analogue and the digital media. The advancement in technology and the improved human intellectual ability have resulted in a dynamic animation experience. “Actually, animation has received high profile on the television and various websites.” (Wells, 2002, p. 3). The modern animation works are very creative and are produced on seasonal basis; that is, they are produced to represent certain happenings of phenomenon. From the art point of view, animation is an ancient artwork that was born out of creativity and innovation. History of animation and its effects on future development The history of animation can be traced back in the Paleolithic cave paintings era since it is in this era where interest in developing motion pictures grew (Graber, 2009). The era was characterized by a series of creative art works which showed attempts to develop motion pictures. For instances, some pictures would be drawn with several legs and this revealed that man was trying to design a motion picture. The generations that came after the Paleolithic cave paintings era developed the paintings and made them look lively. The development of the modern technology and evolution of artwork education curriculum gave way to further development of animations field. Through education on the animation side of art, people grew more creative and became more innovative. As a result, the development of complex animations was born, and this opened the doors for continued development. In essence, the development of the animation field of arts can be viewed as a continued process that will continue stimulating new ideas and creativity. The future of animation is quite diversified based on the fact more devices or improving the animation industry are continually being discovered and developed. The popularity of animations art The art and practice of animation has become very popular in the recent past. “The digital tools have aided in the transformation from the traditional animation to modern animation.” (Jones & Oliff, 2007, p. 7) This can be associated with increased creativity and the wide spread of information regarding animation. The modern technology has made the spread of information across nations very easy. As a result, news about animation have hit almost all parts of the world. In addition, people from different parts can share information on how to develop certain kinds of animation. Essentially, it can be seen that the continued developed in the information and communication technology has been very useful in popularizing the art of animation. The development of animation has proven to be a source of livelihood for many people. Thousands of people in the world earn a living from creating and selling animated products. For instance, some people have ventured into producing cartoons has a career (Bryant, Bryant & Rodd, 2005).  In this case, animation has become a popular source of livelihood across the world. The market demand for animated products has grown rapidly over the past few years. As a result, more people continue to join the animation business to earn a living. Effects of cultural and technological changes on the animations art Cultural changes and advancement of the modern technology has aided in the development of animation popularity in the present world. The modern technology has facilitated the production of digital cameras that are used to create clear animations. In addition, the evolution of the film industry due to the advancement of technology has aided in developing the animation field. In the modern times, film producing companies have incorporated animation products in their work. As a result, the animation field has received widespread application by the various film producing companies across the world. The contribution of modern technology in the animation filed can never be underestimated. The success of the animation industry in the past few years can be credited to modern technology. The modern technology has aided in talent development through creativity and innovation. Animations involve a lot of creativity and critical thinking. In other words, animation can be said to be the field for great thinkers. For an animated product to receive wide spread acceptance, it must be unique and creative. In this case, people must be creative for them to succeed in the animation business. However, the modern technology has made things simple. An individual only requires to learn a few basics on image manipulation and placement to make them attractive. The use of computers in animation has simplified the work in many ways. With a computer, one requires to use some specific software/programs to develop unique animations. The diversification of culture has also contributed to the continued development of the animation industry. The development of urban cultures and subcultures have led to increased consumption of animation products. When people meet in towns, they establish a common culture that share similar behavioral and consumption patterns. Urban populations have proven to be the highest consumers of animated product. Animation products are designed to suit consumer interest a different age brackets. Most animations are designed to target children and young teenagers. For instance, cartoons are popularly known to be favorite for many children. In fact, it is hard to visit a home with small children and lack an animated movie or other products. The relevance of cultural and technological changes in the art animation is that they have aided in development of attractive animation that appeal to many people. In addition, cultural changes have aided in making the society accept animation as an art. Technological changes have aided in simplifying the animation process, and developing unique features in the animations art. Conclusion The animations art has evolved in a series of phases. The changes in technology and culture have boosted the development of the animations art. Through the modern technology, the animations art has received a widespread recognition across the world. Many people have joined the animations art as a source of livelihood or as a career. It is imperative to recognize that the animations art will continue evolving from generation to generation.
