From this research, it is clear that the subjects of the study would be 40 university students for whom English is a second language, and who are currently enrolled in English classes. When one mistakenly use the subjective personal pronoun “I” instead of objective pronoun “me”, hypercorrection occurs.

In the English language class one third of my students were from China including Zhang Li, and the rest were mixed of various nations. In learning English language class, the Chinese students were tend to be shy, introvert and reserved. They were poor in communication other students and with instructors and not very often participate in the class discussions.

This forms the basis of this research, which aimed to answer these research questions: How does the language of the advertisement show the ideology of Qatari society? How do the language and the design of the billboards tend to persuade the customers?, and who are the target group behind street billboards.

The data obtained from the study were triangulated and at the same time open responses were played and then analyzed in three aspects of suggestions making. The analyzed three aspects were politeness which was also accompanied with a number of micro strategies. The macro strategies were rejection, acceptance, and evasion.
