Windows Communication Foundation WCF Windows communication foundation (WCF) is a main part of the .NET Framework that offers a combined programming model to quickly build service-oriented applications that communicate throughout the web as well as the enterprise. Windows Communication foundation includes SOA (or service oriented architecture) standards to up-hold distributed computing where services are dedicated to clients. In this scenario, the clients are able to make use of multiple services as well as services are able to be consumed by multiple clients.

Additionally, a service endpoint is the main element of a constantly obtainable service hosted by IIS, or it can be a service hosted by a system application. In addition, an endpoint can be a client of a service that requests data from a service endpoint. Moreover, the communication messages are distributed as easily as a single word or character transmitted like XML, or like complex as a stream of binary data (IDesign, Inc.), (Microsoft Corporation.)& (Microsoft Corporation.). Windows communication foundation is a flexible operating platform.

For the reason that it is tremendously flexible, WCF is as well employed in numerous other Microsoft products. In addition, by recognizing the foundations of WCF, we have a direct advantage if we utilize some of these products. WCF includes lots of features. WCF comprises the following group of features (Microsoft Corporation.) & (Price) & (IDesign, Inc.). Service Orientation Interoperability Multiple Message Patterns Service Metadata Data Contracts Security Multiple Transports and encodings Reliable and Queued Messages Durable Messages Transactions AJAX and REST Support Extensibility Microsoft Silverlight is a structure for producing interoperable, rich Web applications that help developers produce media-intensive websites (like that streaming video).

Additionally, beginning with version 2, Silverlight has included WCF like a communication technology to attach Silverlight systems to WCF endpoints. Microsoft .NET technology service is a cloud computing scheme that makes use of WCF to develop internet-enabled applications, which make use of the .NET Services to produce WCF services that perform across trust boundaries (Microsoft Corporation.). Microsoft developed WCF as a set of business standards to define service communications. However basically, WCF is a small method used in new .

NET, as a method of writing computer applications. However, we can take benefit of built-in characteristics service hosting, asynchronous calls, instance management, reliability, synchronization, disconnected queued calls, transaction management, security plus rising technologies similar to cloud computing, and the Windows Azure AppFabric service bus. Moreover, the WCF focuses on the ‘why’ and the rationale at the back of particular design decisions, frequently shedding light on poorly-documented as well as understood features (IDesign, Inc.), (Microsoft Corporation.), and (Microsoft Corporation.).
