The National Medical in operating five service lines: the health service, the hearing service, the optical service, dental service and the pharmaceutical scheme. Here this report is about the deep and detailed analysis of some of main aspects and areas of the National Medical IT support structure and overall operational arrangement. This report will discuss some of the main aspects and areas of the new IT and IS technology establishment and present technology examination. This technical report is separated some main areas those are addressing main aspects of the National Medical system and new technology specification. 1- Organizational Purpose, Function and Structure 1.1- National Medical’s goals National Medical is having five main service lines those are health service, the hearing service, the optical service, dental service and the pharmaceutical scheme. National Medical is having a broad vision and goals regarding facilitating and helping residents to sustain and improve their health. The second main goal or vision of National Medical is that to offer outstanding healthcare services and facilities to common public regardless of circumstance. 1.2- IT supports for business functions Health service: In case of health services the National Medical business is having a great support and advantages. In this scenario National Medical is offering facilities of record keeping and information management. Here IT is offering a great deal of support for payments management, treatment analysis and recording medical practitioner’s data. Here we are having a complete network and database attachment that reduce data replication and traditional complex information management arrangement. Hearing Service: In case of this National Medical business function the IT technology is offering web based support for the common public for the purpose of recording healthcare requests and processing for future health care services management. Here IT is also offering less complex handling of public requests and offering health care services on their door steps. Optical Service: In this National Medical business service organization is offering access to common public for the availability of high quality optical services and IT is offering high quality support for the common public. Here the new It technology system of National Medical is Central Operations Processing System (COPS) that is able to keep track of the whole prescriptions offered to patients, associated records regarding pharmacists and those medical practitioners who have the power to prescribe correct medicines. 1.3- Organizational structure 1.3.1- Diagram of Structure of the organization Below I have outlined the basic technology and overall management operational structure that handles the overall organization: 1.3.2- Advantages and Disadvantages Advantages: This structure presents following two main advantages: Advantages The main and fundamental advantage we are having from this structure is more centralized and completely connected network and database structure of the National Medical business. Here this completely centerline structure is able to offer effective handling and management of overall business data and information. In this scenario we have effective information recoding, sharing and manipulation those lead to better management decision making. The next main advantage of present structure of National Medical business is its business partition that offers enhanced support and handling of each business area in a much better way. Here different business functions like health service, the hearing service, the optical service, dental service and the pharmaceutical scheme are able to isolated handling but centralized and completely shared data and information management structure. Disadvantages: there are following disadvantages of this structure: The main disadvantage of present National Medical business structure is about the security point of view. Such a huge business network and database structure is always open for the online, internal and external users. In such scenario the biggest danger is from the security attacks those case be virus or hacking attacks. Another main problem from the present business structure is the business access point problems. Here establishment and definition of rights to a lot of users around the nation about the system usage is really complex problem in this scenario this problem is also a big disadvantage of present business structure 1.4- Description of National Medical By viewing the following characteristics of National Medical organization like approach to internal management and control, size, function or purpose, interface with customers/clients and suppliers; we are able to say that the business has established a completely centerline management arrangement that is handled through a main commands. However this overall management and business arrangement is also operating in small business sub-divisions regarding enhanced business performance and quality of services. 2- Business Processes and Information Systems 2.1. Central Operation Processing System 2.1.1- Type of information system at COPS This section discusses the type of information at the COPS (Central Operation Processing System). Here COPS holds the patients information those are eligible for the medical services. This information system is responsible for keeping the records of patients and medical expenses. This system serves as inputs for the overall National Medical System regarding the decision making and resource analysis. 2.1.2- Ways through IT helped to improve the processing of claims There is a lot of ways through which IT has helped in the processing of claims. These three possible cases are outlined below: The initial and main case, in which the IT has facilitated the National Medical System regarding processing claims of patients, is supported through the COPS. The COPS system is able to process the patients or common public requests and handle possible claims. In this overall situation this system keeps tracks and manages all possible requests and complaints. In the next case the Logistics Procurement System of the National Medical System that is able to manage and handle the new purchases and supply chain of the business. In this overall process this Logistics Procurement system offers facility to record and manage all possible transitions and requests. Through establishment of proper record and database business able to manage all possible clams arise from the business. Pharmaceutical Benefits system is able to offer enhanced business support for common people regarding accruing proper medicine. This overall business IT support structure is able to minimize the illegal practice and management of the distributional and conformation of the medicine to the proper users. 2.1.3- Quality of the information in COPS This section will outline some of the main aspects of the information quality at the COPS system for the enhanced handling and management of the information at the business system. Here I have outlined 4 possible characteristics of the COPS system for the point of view of the quality of information: Less Dirty Data: One of the main and possible characteristics of the quality of information at the COPS is regarding the less dirty data at the information system. The information system is taking inputs through specified data rules and aspect that ensures and validates data for the enhanced business data quality. Less Complex Data: Another possible characteristic of the business information system is the less complex data that is done through the proper business system data entry that ensures enhanced business data sharing and storage. Better data sharing: One of the biggest possible characteristics of the COPS system is the effective and broad sharing of the information all through the business areas. This leads to effective business data handling and management for the better business data handling. On Time Data: Availability of business data on time offers enhanced business support for the better business decision making and analysis. In this scenario this business areas enables better business management and control. 2.1.4- Information system activities and information system resources. Pharmaceutical Benefits system: This system is about recording and managing the patients and for handling overall common public requests. In this scenario this technology based arrangement handles and manages the prescription of appropriate medicines. Central Operations Processing System (COPS) COPS maintain a complete database for the patients and medical services. Here this system offers enhanced services and support for recording the medical expenses and online patient’s inputs. Logistics Procurement It is a primary system for national medial system that offers the services for managing and handling the payment and delivery of all products and services that National Medical itself. 2.2. Evaluation 2.2.1- Efficiency metrics Patient (common public) Support: The biggest and main aspect of the new technology based system implementation is the patient support. Here people get support for the online availability of system at 24x7. Business Communication and Data Sharing: National Medical System IT technology needs to offer enhanced business communication and data sharing support all through the business areas. This technology support needs to facilitate the data transfer, network data communication and business network communication. 2.2.2- Information Systems Improvement Network Security In this scenario there is need for establishment of the additional network security for the better business and corporate management. Here this network security will offer improved system and handling of business security issues. Decision Support The establishment of the decision support system is one of modern trends in the traditional business arrangement. In this scenario the National Medical system needs to incorporate new and enhanced business decision support system that can effectively manage the business services and aspects. Online Support In case of establishing online support system for the business we are able to build a better public confidence on our services and areas that leads to better medical services handling and operational management. 3- Expanding the Information Technology Systems 3.1- Executive Information System Executive information system is one of the most important business management systems in present business structures. In National Medical System the presence of the executive information system will add more quality and excellence in overall business management and handling. Here establishment of the new technology based armament will support business administration for the effective business operational management and complaints handling. The Executive Information System will use the aggregated counts and data from the Central Operations Processing system. COPS system will serve as a main data stream for the new Executive Information System. Here data entrees in the COPS will later processed and developed in the high level aggregates those can be transferred in the Executive Information System for the decision support for the management or we also have another option. In this scenario we can have the straight data feed from the COPS to Executive Information System. Here Executive Information System processing engine will compress the overall finding and analyze the overall data in a more and enhanced way. 3.2- Decision Support system Decision Support systems have turned out to be a biggest business trends in present business age and aimed to offer enhanced business and operational support for the business areas. Here Logistics Procurement System or the Pharmaceutical Benefits System could be used to develop a more effective decision support system for the National Medical System. This system will be based on the processing and handling of all business incoming and out going data. In addition, this system can lead to enhanced business support and management for the better business handling. The establishment of the decision support system through Procurement System or the Pharmaceutical Benefits System will able to facilities in effective management of the business supply chain and logistic operations. Moreover, the management will be able to predict the business in-cooing or outgoing demand and take much enhanced business decisions in the interest of corporate and public. 4- Conclusion The implementation of modern tools and information technologies has become essential for the organizations to survive in the business world/market. In this report I have presented a deep analysis of some of the main aspects of the National Medical system and associated business areas. This report has outlined some of the main issues and aspects for the better handling and management of the business areas.
