In addition, the modern tools and techniques of information technology have changed and improved the traditional ways of carrying out business activities. At the present, organizations have more effective and efficient tools and methods to deal with business issues and carry out organizational activities. However, it depends on the coproration, how they implement information technology to gain better corporate management and competitive advantage for their business. In addition, the huge investment, deployment of the effective human resource, and sphosticated technology establshment is intended for taking a competetive edge and improving the corporate operations management, effective data handling, decision making and resource handling. This paper presents the process of improvement by implementing information technology at Arabtec Construction, L.L.C business. The new transformations and innovations will offer the new IS based capabilities to the business. References 14 1 Introduction At the present, almost every organization implements information system to automate their business process. Since, their capacity to facilitate, resolve problems, make decisions makes them essential for a business. Thus, the process of information system development and implementation has turned out to be an important element like other resources, assets and raw material. Like other resources, data is also an important resource for an organization, since this data is used by an organization to generate information that could be statistics, facts, and supplementary items helpful for reporting as well as in decision making. Furthermore, the implementation of information system has brought a revolution in the business sector (Chaffey and Wood; Jessup and Valacich). This paper presents a detailed analysis of the IS and network technology implementation at Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. The main intention of this research is to specify a IS and new network technology based platform for the corporate operations, communication and data transfer. In addition, this paper will offer innovative business processes, description of the new transformed and innovative business model, business process models, and Infrastructure architecture analysis and presentation for the Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. business. 2 Company Background Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. is the top construction corporation in UEA (United Arab Emirates). This company was developed in 1975. Since from its establishment the corporation has performed and completed an assortment of projects and most of them are major construction projects. In addition, these projects were in the sectors of infrastructure and real estate. At the present, the Arabtec Construction, L.L.C encompasses a collection of plants as well as state-of-the-art equipment with international teams. Furthermore, the corporation comprises approximately 52,000 highly qualified staff members for the enhanced construction projects management. However, the Arabtec Construction, L.L.C has its roots since construction boom of the 1970’s. At that time Arabtec Construction was established to obtain the advantage of the prospects obtainable through the United Arab Emirate’s raising marketplace. Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. has a deep commitment to its clients and to offer the most excellent and highest quality work delivered on plan as well as within budget. In obtaining these business aims and objectives, we constantly need to place the importance on safety, health and the working environment. Furthermore, the Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. has also recognized and established the environmental management system, quality management system, and ISO established standards to attain effective business performance and market standards (Arabtecuae). 3 Problem Areas To manage such a huge construction business, Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. has faced a lot of problems. These problems are within the following areas: Information management Projects information management Customer record management Data transfer to client and customer Event handling Huge data management Daily operations handling Incident response and management Resource deployment Facility analysis HR management 4 Basic Needs The effective management of above given operations is possible only via the new information technology techniques and better network structure. Since, these techniques will facilitate in the development and planning of information for a project. According to Chou, Bindu, & Chou (2005), the information is the base for corporate decision making. Thus, to get benefits from information, the implementation of information systems becomes necessary (Chou, Bindu and Chou). The development of information system and enhanced network structure like enterprise resource planning system for Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. will incorporate the entire operational and functional areas of the management. The need facilities in: Back-office information management Purchasing management Finance management Inventory Management HR management Construction projects information Customer record management Orders records management Project handling records management. Here main needs of corporate are to enhance the overall power of operations of the management of corporation, building, and enhance the overall operational power through effective management of all the operations of Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. 5 Proposed Business Model For the enhanced business management and renewal for the Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. business I have decided to implement the “revolution business model”. This business model is about the potential enhancement in the already established business by incorporating new technology, as well ass offering new business services and enhancing business via establishment of innovative business and management technology (Kutenk). In addition, this model will offer Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. a better and enhanced technology structure that could handle and manage the overall business of the Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. In this scenario there is need to centralize the overall business structure of the Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. that is divided into different cities of UEA. 6 Innovative business processes The implementation of the new information and network technology platform at Arabtec Construction will completely modernize the overall business departments and provide an innovative business processes support. In this scenario there would be enhancements in the following areas of business process: Management Process: In case of new IS and network technology at Arabtec Construction business will offer enhanced business and management support. In this regard the new technology platform at Arabtec Construction business will present the management better business information and fast reporting of all the process. In addition, through the centralized technology platforms at Arabtec Construction, the business management will be able to have more control and checks on business areas. Next main transformation will be in the project management areas. In this scenario the new technology at the business of the Arabtec Construction will offer a web based and remote access to all projects those are in working state. Furthermore, all the remote teams and operational staff will simultaneously access and manage business procedures. The business financial management will become clear and better as compared to traditional ways of business management and handling. The web based structure and new technology platform will offer the better support regarding the effective management of overall business processes. HR management and transactions management business process will also become effective through the implementation of new technology platforms at Arabtec Construction business structure. 7 Scope of new IS/IT and network at Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. The implementation of new technology of networks and IS at Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. is aimed to offer and deliver enhanced services and management of the corporate data. This paper has presented the new IS and network technology implementation at Arabtec Construction, L.L.C. This paper has outlined some of the main aspects of the business operations and deployment of new IS and network technology.
