Small and big decisions are required on a daily basis and high level and professional managers are required for a smooth running of the organization and constant problems solutions which leads to beneficial decisions (Rainey, 2009). In this context, it is true that there is no leadership which is wrong, right o best in all manners and thus the most effective approach in an organization is being dependent of skills and the experience of all organizational members who are involved in its operations. Good leaders have good qualities as a virtue and thus should possess good leadership quality and values such as: Planning This is the most essential element in an organization towards the achieving of goals and the objectives set, and hence it is crucial in every step of development in an organization. Planning is very vital for the initial plan in a large organization in order to drill down and into the different levels of the organization in order to show what is expected from every member. If well executed, this result to cooperation and maximum production by the members of the organization since they understand what is expected from them towards realizing the organizations goals. This also makes responsible team members in an organization and enhances working morals among the members in an organization. In planning also the organization structure and the size of the organization are put to interest and formulated to give the organization a good layout which makes the administration of the organization to run in a smooth manner. Organizational structure Organizational structure is the typical hierarchical arrangement of authority, rights, duties and the communication in an organization. This structure is critical in the determination of how responsibility, power and roles are conducted and controlled and the information flow through the various different management levels (Agarwal, 1982). The structure depends on the objectives of the organization and the formulated strategy. In typical structure of a centralized organization, the most influential layer of management in decision making is the senior management which has a lot of power and tight control over the organizations divisions and department. Unlike this, in a decentralized structure, power is distributed evenly over several departments. Network architecture This is the organizations vehicle which facilitates the handling of the challenges that result from the evolution of service demands and the organizational inter-dependence. This service architecture assists the organizations through the layering methodology in the network design and planning phase to provide a full spectrum of solutions. In the initial planning layer, the concerned technicians are involved in the determination of the required solutions throughout the organizational running of activity on a daily basis. The network architecture system helps the organization in the identification of technical capabilities and the economic impacts in long or short terms in and inter-organizational structure. This includes the development of network topologies that shows how the different structures and organization departments communicate efficiently and effectively. This includes the full implementation of the organization network and automation in its departments and finally the means of network operations and long-term maintenance. Figure 1.1 typical organizational network acrhitecture Disaster recovery plan This is a well-documented set of instructions or a process used to recover and to protect business information and technology infrastructures in occurrence of a disaster. In this context, this comprises of a documentation in a written form which specifies the procedures which the organization is going to adopt incase a disaster occurs. This will contain comprehensive measures and course of actions that will be going to be taken during the disaster, this disaster can be manmade which is intentional and natural calamities such as accidents are. A good example is the fire disaster which may intrude the organization, the disaster recovery of a fire outbreak may state that one has to make attempts in suppressing the fires, raise alarm, shut off the utilities in use and call for firefighting assistance. Security assessment The committee that is involved in the planning process conducts a risk analysis and the business impact analysis which include the evaluation list of all possible disasters which include technical and natural threats. Every functional unit in the organization is evaluated to examine the impacts and the potential consequences associated with several disaster occurrences. This process also focuses on the critical security of organization vital data, records and documents. Consequently in many situations, the fire has dominated the most potential security threat, however, intentional threats such as terrorism and theft has also hit many organizations causing destruction and loss of resources should also be considered. This is important for assessing the consequences and impacts that may hit the organization incase this happens, this gives the planning committee the responsibility to minimize this potential security exposures. Potential disasters and measures Power failure- this might be as a result of lightning or sabotage, the measures that should be applied is to wait for 5 to 10 minutes, power off all the network servers and shutdown the mains in the organization electric circuit. Incident response team Executive summery This is also referred to as the emergency response team which is usually formed by a group of people who are prepared for response of emergency cases such as calamities and interruptions of organizations activities (Lucas & Moeller, 2004). This includes for both public and private service provision when required. This team is composed of professionals who are highly trained to fight with disasters as they arise. Mission statement To be prepared to provide emergency service to the public as soon as the need arises. Incident declaration- An incident is declared an emergency when it goes beyond the control of the people surrounding it, it is also a calamity when it is dangerous and causes damages in any environment. Such situations are emergencies and require emergency responses as soon as they arise. Organizational structure An incident response team can have several forms or organizational structures, this can be separate where the members are assigned to attend to specific duties or the time or a group of professional members who are trained and prepared to attack disaster when it arises and thus this group has an emergency responsibility. The group formation with professionals has a harder time since they are the ones who are in charge of provocative incidents that are in high security risks which need high level monitoring and handling. Regardless of the structural form, these teams all provide a stable emergency response team that is ready to compromise all the security threats should they arise. Roles and responsibility The main responsibility of the incident response teams is to ensure that they provide quick and adequate response on emergency that may occur to different organizations in various situations. These responsibilities includes offering for a quick solution and aid in case a disaster occurs. Their role is to ensure that they educate members of organization on various measures to take to avoid disaster and what to do should and emergency situation arise. They are the one in charge in the emergency departments and implement the security measures in an organization. Information and communication Communication is the most important aspect in all organization; consequently this team requires information and communication as well. The information required is drawn from the organization to the team manager who gives instructions and development to the team members who after consultative deliberations give back the information to the organization members on how to handle security issues and emergency. The team members execute their duties through the mandate of their senior manager who communicate and give instructions through their team leaders. References Agarwal, R. D. (1982).
