Apparently, nowadays, it is a different thing because people can watch movies through their iPads, or smartphones, and they can even call relatives through the use of a laptop with an internet connection. All these conveniences are brought by media convergence, which is made possible by the presence of the Internet. Media convergence does not simply imply the merging of media contents into a single hub. It had a deep impact to society that changed traditional means of communication into its modern form. An example of which is the creation of emails, and the social media that are now being used to connect with people around the globe by the modern generation. One evident change that media convergence has imparted to everyday life is in the aspect of convenience both in time and cost.
