 Vincenty et al also argued that the policy infringes on their Freedom of Expression as guaranteed by the Constitution. Personally, I disagree with the imposition of such a policy because it has the unintended effect of restricting the artistic freedom of legitimate artists. Considering the place which New York where many artists are present (Museum of Modern Art is also located there), the policy would surely affect the artistic pursuit of its artists. I believe that there are other ways to combat the problem of vandalism if the city administrators will just be creative enough to find an alternative solution.

Banning art materials like aerosol spray paint and permanent markers to solve vandalism is like burning the whole house just because of there pests in it. In addition, I believe that this restricts our basic freedom to express albeit those vandals are abusing this freedom.
