The September eleven attacks have prompted the United States government to authorize the Federal Bureau of Investigations to scrutinize Americans. This is to be done basing on available terrorist profile that could exclude Arabs and Muslims and other minority groups (Werner, 2011, p.1). If the new recommendation passes, the Federal Bureau of Investigations in conjunction with the police will have the mandate to begin the task. Orientalism can simply be defined as the basic perception of the societies and history of a place without the acknowledgment of transition over a period of time or the multiplicity within its numerous cultures.

Due to Orientalism, various Arabs and Muslims are looked categorized separately because of their religion or culture. Orientalism defines individuals for the east. Oriental groups include for instance Arabs and Chinese and they are accused of polluting the western way of life. These groups are also blamed for viciousness (Macfie, 2002, p.75). The modern generation has less interest in remembering valuable skills. The modern society also seems to find pleasure in vices such as violence, and the gap between the rich and the poor has continued to increase.

In order to promote tolerance and reduce prejudice in towns and cities, the governments, teachers, parents and all concerned parties have the sole responsibility of enlightening young people how to resolve conflicts and the importance of virtues such as understanding. Teachers can take advantage of their profession and reach out to students since this is the most affected group. Teachers can also educate students on the alternatives to fighting (Craven, 2011, p.1). Christian Americans are good neighbors, not oppressive to women, women go to work, dress immodest, well educated, secular content in education, law abiding, moderate political values, governed by Biblical law, political environment open to both sexes, peaceable, socially inclusive, socially compliant, feminist,
