Extract of sample "The Story of Adam and Eve"

In the Adam and Eve story, it is said to have been tempted by the ‘Serpent’ to eat fruit from the tree which God had forbidden to be the source of food through the couple were given the freedom to go and obtain living elsewhere. Then the narrative proceeds with to completion when Adam further gave into temptation through Eve’s offer of the fruit. This led God to extreme anguish to the extent that both of them were expelled from paradise – a sign that God’s relation to men had initially been cut so that God’s plan of salvation had to follow.

Figuratively speaking, it may be claimed that the story pertains to a tale about maturity since paths to growth entail failures prior to success and this situation altogether forms parallel to Adam and Eve’s case. That is, if neither Adam nor Eve transgressed, God’s love would not be fully manifest and men would not have wisdom about redemption through Jesus Christ when he was sent to accomplish a saving act and satisfy God’s desire for men to be reconciled with Him. Such is amply similar to the growing stage in man’s everyday life in which mistakes are inevitably made for the purpose of learning lessons toward righteousness and refinement for successful living. Essentially, thus, the well-acclaimed narrative may be treated as both a tale of growing up and an account depicting man’s sinful nature.
