People usually seek topics which interest them hence writing becomes bliss. Hovland’s Selective Exposure Theory explains how an individual’s stance greatly affect his writing and his preference of sources which frequently aims to support the writer’s biases and build a better argument to make a firm stand on a certain issue. In summation it can be said with the solutions presented for the risk factors, that school violence can be prevented. It also must be stated here that by developing different programs and strategies like creating dialogues between conflicting parties, eliminating the barriers to implement programs and safety programs, targeting bullying and by converging all the stakeholders in the prevention of violence and aggression in schools, violence can be eradicated in schools.

The topic which involves something that the writer gets to experience can help him write with more substantiated statements. Experience is one of the few factors which can help a writer to have a more insightful and densely-thought-of literature. As cited in the excerpt, the conclusion that has been made by the author render a hint of truth and are formidable suggestions on how to eradicate violence in campus; for as a student, he practically experiences and witness this episode regularly. Another point that has been raised by Hovland's theory is how writers can ‘stage-manage’ his choice of sources to support his biases.

This, however it might prohibit, is inevitable due to the writer’s predictions. As long as it won’t sacrifice the validity of one’s arguments, instead helps in intensifying the author’s knowledge on the topic, so as the paper’s impact on its audience. The key to the success of a paper is how well one evaluates and organizes his thoughts.
