For example: in the construction of a car, the purpose is clear that a car is to be built up according to the client’s requirements. Or fault in a car design project would lead to the purpose of how to solve a problem.

For example renovation of an office room – starting date 1st September, ending date 7th September.

  1. Unique deliverable: producing some deliverables is the aim of every project. These deliverables look into the need or problem related to a project before its execution. Every project is done or made to get the results.

For example: before designing a transport vehicle, its design & tools. 

  1. Progressive Elaboration: when a certain project is being done then, continuous improvements and investigations related to a project also become part of it. This investigation and improvements lead towards an accuracy of a project.

For example: in the project of agriculture, the increase in production and marketing might be done on the basis of the provision of water. Water would be the second priority once the agriculture parts are well underway. 

  1. Resources needed: every project demands required resources for development. If the resources are failed to manage then it will result in the completion of a project.

For example: in the renovation of a kitchen, the project won’t be done before having its design, tiles, and cupboards, etc.

  1. Major projects can be divided into subprojects: It is obvious that there are some major projects which need to be divided into subprojects to get them completed in time.

For example, a project of constructing a building breaks down into subprojects, such as digging the earth, making a structure of a building according to its height.

  1. Management of a project: this characteristic deals with the planning, controlling, and execution of a project. It ensures that the project’s delivery is successfully being done on time. These are basically the objectives and strategies in the association of a project. Management of a project also strengthens the company’s management, minimizes the factor of risk, and accomplishes the changes in association with the company’s strategies.

For example: developing a new product or service of tissue paper.
