The 20th and 21st centuries have produced many business leaders, such as corporate giants like Jack Welch of GE, Daymond John of FUBU, Steve Jobs of Apple. It is clear that these leaders possess some attributes that allow them to harness innovation and have a keen ability to lead. This paper will discuss many attributes of leadership and how Steve Jobs exemplified as a leader. In Apple, senior executives are very keen on capital management. They are keen developing on employees by performance management systems leads to a better job improvement because employees are invested in the program itself and are willing to work hard. Most employees feel that they are happy with the goals of the organization as tuition is covered, work from home is a flexibility, and goal is inevitable. However, many employees also felt that growth is limited over short-term is not feasible. Additionally, larger organizations are known to segment its work in smaller departments, which can ruin personal development. Overall, the consensus was clear that larger organizations have a difficult time keeping the employees happy according to this theory. Senior executives are keen on the management practices rather than training employees on technical training. The vision of the organization is to be the key innovation while harnessing employees. Leadership is stemmed for experience or the desire to succeed beyond others. In sports, leadership is fuelled by motivation to be the best, make peers proud, and have the gratification to be the best. One of the best leaders that the 21st century leadership has witnessed. It is clear that great men such Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs, took a risk for their American dream and it paid off well. Success in my opinion is where luck meets opportunity. Leadership is undeniably stemmed from an inner motivation to excel and lead a group of individuals to a collaborative success (Liopus 1). As Liopus states in his article, “Successful leaders deflect attention away from them and encourage others to voice their opinions.” (Loipus 1). Jobs was an exemplary visionary who continues to motivate his employees. He had a This is such a crucial aspect because some crave leadership because it puts them in power. Steve Jobs exemplified leadership because of the fact that he had keen attention for product excellence. The whole company strived for product excellence, which manifested in Apple. A keen attribute of good leader is that they pay attention to detail. Another interesting attribute about leadership is the fact net empowerment. Net empowerment is also a keen ability to motivate employees. Motivating employees is one of the major concerns of any organizations who seeks to be a dominant force in that industry. Employee morale and motivation plays a crucial role in the success of the organization. However, Liopus is quick to point out that good leaders will always A leader is a person who guides a group of individual towards a certain goal. Leading by example as Liopus states is a must for any leader. Successful leaders love being leaders, not for the sake of power but for the meaningful and purposeful impact they can create. This in fact is the manifestation of being a good leader. (Liopus 4). Net scores generally for employees are a great way to ensure that employees are satisfied with the overall quality of the work. Net promoter scores also measure the impotence of the organization from a holistic view which gives management a pure understanding of how the company is performing. Net scores have been consistently well over average for Apple that has done a wonderful job in leadership. One of the most powerful theories regarding employee motivation is the theory to belong. According to this theory, employees must feel that they belong. Empowerment is crucial in any organization for success. Employees feel safe that they are going in the right direction with this organization. A leader must be confident, honest, unselfish, knowledgeable, and optimistic. Without a doubt, great leaders have a strong desire on business performance (Liopus, 4). These qualities are characteristics of a successful leader, and are essential. One factor to really understand is that leaders that they communicated very effectively. It is evident that successful leaders are great communicators, and this holds true when it comes to performance” (Liopus 3). This was one of my favorite points in the article because I truly feel that a good leader understands communication and can collaborate. A progress of a leadership is clear when the leader which an individual influences the group of individuals to attain a common goal (Liopus 7). Jobs is an exemplified visionary of success, innovation, and willingness to excel in In regards to Liopus’s article about these attributes, I find these traits as critical towards any leaders. One of the key aspects I learned from this article was the fact that leaders do not always necessarily know everything, but they know how to deploy talent (Liopus, 5). As an individual who seeks to be a leader, this is much valuable advice because most leaders feel that they should know everything. From an individual’s perspective, it is crucial to understand that leaders have a holistic view of their goals rather than knowing every micro-detail. Liopus again perfectly displays this notion as he writes, “The most successful leaders understand their colleagues’ mindsets, capabilities and areas for improvement.” That is not to say that leaders must be not knowledgeable in their respective areas, but to understand that what talent lies within the group. This has been becoming more evident in the corporate world where CEOs understand the whole picture rather than focusing in minor details. Without a doubt, this sheds a lot of light in successful traits of leaderships and has really allowed me to gain powerful insights on the attributes of being a leader. In the end, it is evident that these attributes allow leaders to fulfill their success and enhance the value of their organization’s brand. One business practice that Apple can embed is appraisal and feedback. Additionally, appraisal and feedback system was another huge theories that were present in both methodologies. It is crucial to understand that giving feedback to employees that feel that they need to benchmark and leverage their standards. Evidently, these motivational theories goes above and beyond that hygiene plays a huge role towards employee’s performance. The second business practice is team effectiveness. Team effectiveness also allow, that may affect performance. When discussions breakdown, it is crucial for the team leader to take in charge and make a strong decision. Egoism and selfishness is difficult to control because team members wants to confirm to empowerment. Empowerment of volunteers could be judged by how well they perceive themselves as part of organization and holding a high sense of fulfilment. A performance management systems leads to a better job improvement because employees are invested in the program itself and are willing to work hard. The last business practice that Apple should embed is continuous learning. Conducive research indicates that mutual learning is exclusive and symbiotic because it harnesses excellent learning. When change occurs, many employees are often confused because they lack the proper education. New training should be a mutual symbiotic relationship and not assigning courses to employees. The organization can achieve optimal growth by promoting overall growth and net scores. Net scores generally for employees are a great way to ensure that employees are satisfied with the overall quality of the work. Net promoter scores also measure the impotence of the organization from a holistic view which gives management a pure understanding of how the company is performing. Overall, these values are essential for any other organization. Apple and Jobs have made an amazing culture where the company thrived. These are core values that dominate in any organization. If the company embeds best practices, the company will have achieve new heights. References Fay, J.J. (2011). Contemporary security management (3rd ed.).
