An effective communication will always help to create an organized and successful team in an organization. Good communication means good business. A person who can effectively communicate can reduce the risk to a larger extent that would have arisen in the workplace. Every business professionals believe in a strong and effective communication to create corporation among the organization, which in turn will also create a strong customer growth. Right from selling a mere product to signing an important deal all depends on effective and efficient communication. A person with good communication skill can very well target the weak areas of their clients so as to get their work done. Communication is an essential attribute of Business Process Management. Dupont et al., (2015) opined that any business process indicates two way communications among the hierarchy. Managers will be communicating organisational goals, objectives, and strategies of operations. In the current study, critical outlining of importance of efficient communication in BPM projects is made. Communication perspective in BPM Butow (2001) defined BPM as the logical approach adopted by the organisational management to develop operational processes. Business process management (BPM) maintains proper utilisation of resources and evaluate performance of employees. In the globalised era, BPM are used rapidly to develop competency among the customers. Modern businesses are using the system to improve the technologies used in the operations. BPM integrates employees, operational procedure and information of any organisation. In order to defining, executing, and managing different process of business, communication is highly essential (Gopal, 2009). Communication is used to listen in suitable manner. Leader will have to be a good communicator otherwise his followers are not going to follow his steps. In a communication process, there is a sender who sends a message through a medium and there is a receiver who decodes the received message for proper understanding. The communication process is completed only when the receiver properly understands the message. For a successful BPM projects, proper and sufficient knowledge about effective communication is not only important but also crucial (Guffey and Loewy, 2010). The main focus of this paper would be to throw light on the ways to develop better communication skills so as to develop an improved way of confrontation in order to increase control on the business processes. An improved communication framework shall be discussed for BPM projects which the company can utilise for strengthening their communication procedure. BPM projects can use different types of communication, various tools of communication and communication channels. According to Jeston and Nelis (2006), formal and informal types of communication are observed in various business processes. Formal type of communication includes department or team conference, corporate declaration, and email communication. On the contrary, informal communication includes breakfast sessions, gala lunch and word of mouth. Memos, newsletter, notice, and fliers are the traditional communication tools used by the organisations. On the other hand, electronic communicational tools include PowerPoint presentation slides, video conference, and blogs from the management. These types of communication tools are helping BPM projects in disseminating various strategies. Importance of Effective Communication in BPM Kruba et al., (2012) argued that many people understand BPM in a different manner, for some people it is something to do with technology, for some it has to do with the methodologies of doing a business. BPM in simpler terms would mean the ways and means for an effective communication to happen so as to get the work done and also to initiate a change in the work done (Weske, 2007). BPM should be rather viewed as a regulation and a compact of methodologies that drives out results in a business. It helps an organization to develop their process as per the needs and wants of the customers and helping the business heads to decide how to organize, observe and assess the resources used by the company (Lee, 2010). BPM when utilized properly in an organization can reduce cost, minimize errors, risk, and upgrade the productivity of the business and as a whole, increasing the revenue generation of the organisations. It has also been seen that utilizing BPM effectively and efficiently can contribute to a greater level in developing a good financial management and also achieving the goals of the business houses (vomBrocke and Sinnl, 2011). Those business establishments who are effectively and very efficiently utilizing the BPM can achieve the following results like growth in their revenue, better risk compliances, reducing cost as compared to their competitors which in turn will generate productivity managements. Mejri and Ghannouchi (2013) critically argued that BPM has been influenced by culture that people in any organization share. Therefore, communication plays a vital role in terms of aligning the business process management project goals among the employees or the project members. Role of BPM in business houses According to Neubauer (2009), Culture in this matter is not only where these people have come from but also their surroundings, their very own personal experiences. Culture helps an organization to be stronger in the long run as it is a very important part in a flourishing organization. Business Process Management (BPM) was always a crucial step in recovering the competence of the organisations. However, it has been witnessed that in spite of the growth in BPM, the establishments are facing problems while solving their initiatives (Thill and Bovée, 2005). When the researchers tried finding out the solutions it was seen that the main problem was with the way the top heads of an organisation think about the BPM process. BPM basically means changing from thinking functionally to think in a way processed manner. An example of Business Process Management is Lenovo. Niehaves and Plattfaut (2011) critically argued that a online order processing procedure follows certain stages. Firstly, sales team processes the customer’s order to the production team. The production team further fills up the product slots with the customer’s order, and the inventory level gets updated. After the inventory level gets updated with the order, the accounts team takes care of the customer credit information and finally places the product for delivery at the customer’s doorstep. The customer receives the final product on the appointed date. Talukhaba et al., (2011) opined that after selling the products or service, business needs to collect feedback from the customers. BPM process also involves customer relationship management. This process will increase the interaction with the customers in order to develop organisational products or service quality (Rasila and Mudau, 2013). Conclusion The study is outlining that effective communication in BPM projects. It can be cited that BPM has gained tremendous growth in all forms of the business houses. BPM is mostly determined by the globalisation. If a business house wants to achieve growth and profits then it has to utilise the advantages from BPM. An effective and efficient BPM projects have got the power to transform a business house into being more productive and agile to handle critical environment in a better manner. Moreover, it is obtained that effective communication helps in developing interaction among the employees and management. BPM goals must be communicated among the employees to increase the possibility of achieving success. Gradually, level of commitment among the employees will increase. BPM project should disseminate the role and responsibility among employees so that they can perform according to those. Thus, it can be said that effective communication will help the employees to accomplish each and every methods stated in the business process management project. Reference list Blizard, J., 2012.
