The paper “Style of Management and Its Impact on Employees' Self-Confidence" is a telling variant of a term paper on management. Management style, style is used to describe how an individual performs some work. It is original and unique, and it sets the admirable tone from other people. While management is art, that combines perceptions, intuitions combined skills, and experience. These skills are continuous and are brought together to solve a given problem. Therefore, management style can be defined as characteristic ways that require decisions making that relate to supporting staff (Harper, 2013).

This paper, therefore, is going to discuss the style of management and its impacts on employee self-confidence in a positive way. The positive effects of autocratic style in team-building efforts. In addition, the paper discusses how the organization develops effective leaders. Description The management style used in the bar& karaoke a Korean restaurant selling food is a benevolent autocrat. Benevolent Autocratmanagement style is the one with characteristics of dedication, decisiveness, industrious and commitment.

This style applies to managers who are critical of their roles. They evaluate the quality and the quantity of the job in advance(Harper, 2013). These managers are only conscious of the company’s costs minimization, the projected and achieved profits. Moreover, they are good ineffective communication, in times of conflict, they are the best decision-makers and act without any consultation. Lastly, their main concern is to confirm if the sales target have been met. In this case, they are the main pillar of the business hence they assist in developing and proposing the new ideas.

The new ideas help in increasing the efficiency and effectiveness in productivity which guarantees better results. Impacts of autocratic management style to employee morale Morale is the capability of the employee to maintain confidence, self-control, and passion at a place of work. The autocratic style affects employee morale in the following ways. Firstly, this management style empowers employees to make decisions. The workers feel motivated if their manager is the one who requires critical thinking.

The employees, therefore, will be challenged to be creative and innovative in terms of solving problems. This enables them to gain self-confidence and zeal that makes them grow in handling critical issues. Employees’ accountability, autocratic helps employees to carry out duties in the best way. The reason is that they will be held accountable. Accountability boosts confidence and reduces the level of tension. The worker is allowed to handle what they can do the best in areas of specialization.

The main advantage of accountability ensures the employees set realistic goals and achieve them. This motivates them to set higher targets in the future. Autocratic set and clarify the goals. This management style defines what it desires to achieve. Hence, when the employees know what is relying on ahead to be achieved, they direct their energy and focus to deliver quality work within a specified period. Also, clear goals inspire the employees to identify the gaps and inconsistencies. Therefore they identify the tasks to be in place to achieve their vision(Bourdeau and Barki, 2013).

Communication, autocratic management has effective communication. Effective communication has positive impacts on employees’ morale. It promotes trust between managers and workers. This promotes a trustworthy relationship. Hence employees feel valued and feel they can be given tasks to handle. Furthermore, communication is a sign of respect employees morale is boosted when they believe they are respected. They will carry out duties in a diligent manner to avoid ridicule. Innovations, the managers who show initiative, propose and develop many ideas.

What inspires their employees to be creative; the employees become active in strategic planning. Therefore, managers of this type become their role model. Effects of autocratic style in team-building It promotes effectiveness, according to Bourdeau and Barki, (2013), the effective team building members are interdependent when performing the tasks. The reasons are; effective team promotes awareness and aims of the tasks. The team, therefore, works to develop procedures to achieve the targets in a successful manner.

Team building promotes a strong relationship. The relationship provides a suitable environment that supports each worker. Furthermore, team building effectiveness helps the member to solve collectively a problem that may arise. Role clarification, the autocratic style increases communication across the organization. This makes each team members identify their roles and improve on them. This reduces the chances of overlapping the goals. Interpersonal relation increase team management skills, it promotes mutual support and sharing of feelings.

Therefore, team members develop trust and confidence towards each other. Based on this, it will reduce the number of conflicts which promotes cooperation(Harper, 2013). Development of effective leaders The leaders are developed by following steps. First, talent cultivation, the manager work with leaders who have potential, the managers oversee their development record. The individual is coached on how to manage their weakness. These individuals are supported by being given the responsibility of managing others.

The second step, identify the need for organization, the can identify the competencies the future leaders will need. The management can conduct talent review and assign candidates the duties that remove them from comfort zones, candidates must be accountable reliable and clear. The third step, create individual development plans, the managers after identifying competencies and organization gap. They must now zero in collaborating plans to build competencies needed and then develop plans must be integrated with performance evaluation.

Fourth steps implement the development plans (Bourdeau and Barki, 2013). Conclusion Management style is characteristic ways that require decisions making that relate to supporting staff.
