Part A Introduction The report looks as explaining the purpose and structure of CIPD map and the manner it helps in professional analysis. This is followed by highlighting two core areas of CIPD map and then finally explaining one core area which is relevant to my area of study Purpose & Structure of CIPD Map CIPD maps cover the vital areas which when gained controlled will ensure that the business and the person will be able to achieve the objectives and ensure efficiency in the manner different business functions are carried out. The map comprises of ten professional areas and eight behaviours which are divided into four bands. It is also seen that one band leads to the other band which makes it a series of steps which has to be followed to ensure better use of resources (Martin & Whiting, 2013). The map provides a complete description regarding the manner in which human resource function adds value and the manner in which it helps to improve the usage of resources and multiples the effectiveness in which the different resources are used. The map helps to find out the present human resource needs by identifying the talent and strength which the present working force has (Martin & Whiting, 2013). This helps to find out the gap which is present and based on it future strategies can be developed so that the different needs are better filled. This thereby helps to keep control of the resources and helps to develop a career path through which effective and better decisions for the long term can be garnered. Two Core areas of CIPD Map The two important core areas of CIPD map which will help the resources to be used in a better manner and increase the chances of being successful are as Insights, strategy & solutions: This is one of the core function as it helps to find out the present human resource needs by identifying the talent and strength which the present working force has (Beevers & Rea, 2013). This helps to find out the gap which is present and based on it future strategies can be developed so that the different needs are better filled. This thereby act as a bridge and helps to remove the gap which is present so that the chances of being successful increases. Leading HR: This helps to find out the human resource needs by finding and developing leaders and ensuring that their contribution towards the goal of the organization increases. This thereby helps to find out the different needs and ensures that the human resources are used in the best manner (Beevers & Rea, 2013). The core activity further tends towards removing and reducing the gap so that better effectiveness can be gained Core area relevant to me Leading HR is an area which has its relevant to me as it will help me to identify the manner and areas where I need to develop and change so that I become a successful leader. This will also ensure that the process allows me to come and work with other people and bridge the gap which is present so that overall effectiveness is ensured. This area will also help me to develop my skills and will bring about a change in my behaviour in carrying out different activities. The effect would be improvement and being able to carry all the functions in the most effective manner. Conclusion The report thereby highlights the purpose and structure of CIPD map and the manner it helps in professional analysis. This has been followed by highlighting two core areas of CIPD map and then finally explaining one core area which is relevant to my area of study. Part B – Part 1 1. The three most important learning and the manner it was learned is as Using the different tools and techniques which improves effectiveness and ensures better use of resources so that the overall impact it has on performance can be witnessed Identifying the manner in which different talent and needs are to be looked at so that the resources are implied and used in the best possible manner and corrective directions. This has helped to multiply the effectiveness and ensured better control over the different activities Understanding the different human resource needs and assigning roles based on the talent and skills so that people are able to carry out the different activities in the most effective manner. 2. The professional development program has been of great help and has helped me to contribute positively towards the organizational goals. The development program has helped me to understand the importance of dealing with human resource and identifying the different human resource needs. This has helped me to work with people having different skills and assigning work based on the skills. The process has ensured that the goals and objectives were better achieved in the most effective manner and thereby ensured that the overall process of using resources has maximized. The process has also helped to find out the leader in me and has helped me to take steps and strategies through which overall momentum has been gained in the manner resources are used. 3. The tangible outcome of the change which has been witnessed due to professional development is that it has helped to improve the manner in which the different resources are used. The change has been witnessed in the use of finance, resources, time and other materials. This has thereby helped to ensure that the overall process has aimed towards bringing a change in the manner resources are sued and has thereby helped to bring about a change in the use of resources and multiplied effectiveness. 4. The other person who has come in association with has gained due to the professional development. This has become possible due to the fact that the changes which I was witnessing was seen in the work place and which got reflected in the work of others thereby resulting a complete change in the manner other people work as well. Part B – Part 2 1. The different professional needs were identified while working when I understood the areas which I need to improve to gain efficiency. This was seen in comparison to others in the work place as it highlighted the areas which needs to be improved and working on those through the professional development helped to bring a change in the manner I need to look at things which has to be changed 2. The three areas which I want to change in the future Developing myself as a leader by identifying the areas through which I will be able to use the resources better and achieved better results Finding out the future needs with regard to human resource so that steps can be taken to fill those needs Developing my skills and professional core areas through professional development program so that better use of resources becomes possible in the future 3. The key difference which I look to make in the next 12 months is to develop a new plan and look at fulfilling the different business needs. This will further look at developing even higher standards and then taking steps so that the standards can be achieved and business effectiveness can be further achieved 4. The plan will be reviewed every quarter to find out the changes and if the need arises appropriate steps will be taken to make changes so that the needs are better satisfied and the professional development program achieves its objectives References Beevers, K. & Rea, A.
