Activating Content through Social Media Advertising, Curation, Micro- blogging, Pinning and Posting Strategy for Promoting ToFu Content in Real Estate Real estate is a delicate field that involves interactions with clients from diverse backgrounds. As a real estate agent, the target audience is newlyweds, cohabiting couples (gay, straight unmarried couples), couples expecting (upgrade their current living conditions), job transients (relocating for new job within the United States). Such customers often visit a site only once and if not impressed by the content, they visit other content areas. For that reason, a real estate agent must try to utilize all the available means of content marketing and presentation to ensure success in business. This paper outlines a strategy on how a real estate agent activates and promotes content through social media advertising, curation, micro-blogging, pinning, posting, and link baiting. Social Media Paid Advertising Social media is a viable option embraced by businesses in the contemporary society. Paid advertising is achievable in sites such as Facebook and twitter. On Facebook, a real estate agent can advertise its business through promoting a page and promoting its post through the “boost post” option. Recently, Facebook restricts the accessibility of posts, and only a page that has been “promoted” is likely to receive appreciable attention. Boosting a post presents several dynamics in which one can choose their target demographics, age bracket, and duration of post (Bailey, 2010). For instance, the name of a page may be “accessible and affordable housing”. It is a suitable strategy because one can easily make a budget based on the available options. In addition, Facebook can enable an agent to target particular regions, and a strategy that is specific to their demographical region is beneficial in terms of avoiding overspending and time wastage in redundant areas. The market is wide and newlyweds and job transients are always sprouting up every week. Gaining access to everyone at a global stage is nearly impossible, and in consequence, it is essential to identify and retain specified clientele. For instance, gay couples may prefer to stay in certain locations, and it is necessary as an agent to ensure their requirements are met. For that reason, as a real estate agent, I will specify the target countries and direct advertising towards the identified areas. Link Baiting As a real estate agent, I can utilize link baiting through highlighting the advantages of competitors while also promoting its brand. After one follows the link of its competitor or any other company, the individual may be interested in the links that are in the same page. Through link baiting, I can lure and utilize the market base of a separate company after they read the main post. Link baiting will be a profitable strategy in terms of traffic direction to both its blog and content. It is necessary to provide great content that the generated traffic can share straightforwardly (Bailey, 2010). Supportive linking is also beneficial in the way that it offers addressees an opportunity to see other references and readings that concern its marketing. Such an approach offers additional information that may persuade others, such as cohabiting couples, to appreciate the site. To further bank on this marketing approach, it is essential to have a timeless content as link bait owing to its everlasting nature. Real estate content will benefit from this owing to its lasting capabilities because it is not likely to change the location of houses and accommodation facilities anytime soon. Originality is necessary in the link baiting game, for instance, redirecting users after answering a quiz. Companies such as oatmeal have regularly used games and quizzes infamously. Finally, info graphics are also useful as bait owing to the value of images (Bailey, 2010). Through an exceptional and fascinating image, it is possible to generate considerable traffic to content. It is necessary to advertise attractive buildings and estates, and not only describe the interior decor in words, but also show how rooms look inside. Posting/Pinning In Microblogs, Social Networks and Emails Twitter is a perfect example of a microblog that is a powerful tool in marketing. Using an engaging post, a post can be severally re-tweeted and easily go viral. Even so, it is essential to develop a secured following after social media paid advertising to benefit from posting and pinning copiously. An engaging post may read, “Are you in need of the best accommodation in town?” rather than the simple “accommodation available”. In real estate, it is essential to execute the use of a question rather than merely presenting the stuffs on offer though a statement. finally, it is necessary to regularly email client and ask for their feedback on improving service delivery. Content Curation and Syndication through Social Bookmarking Sites Digg, Reditt, and StumbleUpon are great social bookmarking sites to syndicate blog postings. Creating a blog where I can keep clients updated on their form of accommodation, while luring new clients will be a priority. Attractive content ensures the possibility of a greater and wider audience. I will capitalize on this opportunity through engaging its loyal customer base in posts so that it can eventually be on the front pages of social bookmarking sites. Curation of content is a necessary part of the marketing process in real estate management. Similar to social media sites, it provides an opportunity to direct advertisement to a particular target group. Conclusion In conclusion, internet marketing is all about visibility of content. As an agent, I can make its content visible through any of the means, or a combination of the means listed above. The overriding strategy is social media sites, which are gaining popularity and increasing their forms of marketing channels. Social media sites are the best in enabling a business focus on a particular interest group. Even so, no matter which channel I use, it is essential to understand that marketing is a mind-numbing process that takes substantial time. The initial steps must be well—strategized on to provide an easy platform to continue with the marketing process. Sometimes I will have to pay to provide free content for a limited period before it starts benefiting from the efforts of other businesses. The ‘call for action’ is the most important consideration in curation and syndication of content, and I must ensure that it is as catchy and effective as possible. Reference Bailey, M. (2011, April).
